Lately I’ve just been careless once I’ve fallen into sin. If I have no sins that need to be confessed I can go for some days. If I commit a sin I feel is mortal I just become careless and I go on to commit many more sins.
I especially struggle with lies when people ask me difficult questions that, if I told them the truth, could possibly make them offended, or shun me.
I also struggle with lust. This seems to stem from my constant use of the computer while at home, and the unavoidable sinful images that will be found on even the most innocent searches. I try to avoid these images, but even if you look away, the evil and hideous pictures will come back into your mind (even images I looked at before I was a Catholic) and cause you to lust. This is infuriating.

My biggest fear is offending people. Thus, I never really do anything to stop people from gossipping/detracting/slandering, nothing to stop people from mocking the Church, and nothing to stop people from sinning. I just want to be nice to people, not a preacher. People hate being preached to.
I also struggle with being habitually rude to my parents, but often they say I wasn’t rude to them when I ask.
I’m really lazy around the house. All I want to do is use the computer, but when I’m using the computer all I really do is wonder why I’m even on it. I feel the computer is digital heroin: It makes you lazy, it eats your time, and you can’t stop no matter what. Once I leave the house, I feel free from the bondage of the computer. The only problem: my mother is always worried about me. If I don’t call her before I do something she may get worried that I had a car accident and died. As a result, I’m always afraid to tell her that I’m just going to get out of the house and drive anywhere. She might start questioning me or get worried.
Please pray that I can understand what is a venial sin and what is a mortal sin, and also pray that I can go for more than a week without having to go to confession. Thanks!
