Please pray for me - I am almost to "despair."

That is horrible to say I know. But I"m terrified.

I have had sore throats off and on for 2 months, and like a kind of swelling or something in my lymph node, checked for mono, and strep - nothing. Slight swelling is what my doc says.

Going to Ear Nose Throat person tomorrow, and getting CT scan.

I am TERRIFIED. I am so scared its throat cancer or something.

I have heard that if you have engaged in promiscuious behavior in the past then this can lead to the HPV virus which can lead to cancer of the mouth/throat etc.

Well, I have been monogomous for 9 years, but before that when I was stupid and irreverent and frankly not even using God as my barameter by which I should live my life I did some behavior I’m mortified about.

So am I being punished now - not that my embarrassment isnt enough.

I"m terrified - I wont sleep tonight.

I’m so scared. I have so much to live for now - a family, and I would be … its not even possible for me to write how I would be crumbled by this, especially if somehow it were my fault.

Maybe its just allergies or a sore throat, or who knows…but i’m TERRIFIED. Its not even close to that word how scared I am.

Please if you have a moment, could you say a prayer for me. Please. Thank you.

Please remove the worry from your mind. I know that it is easier said than done…But, take it from an RN…it is probably something that can be easily treated. My prayers are with you…
Father remove the anxiety and worry from Vester,
grant them peace and comfort. Guide the ENT to
determine a cause for the swelling and then give the
proper treatment. Heal Vester’s throat of all illness.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord!

Will certainly keep you in my prayers tonight and tomorrow. Please try to get sleep. I know that’s easier said then done. Know that I will be praying for you and your health…

I second this prayer (if I may).

Vester, I’ll remember you in my Rosary and chaplet of Divine Mercy today. Many of us (me, for one) regret sinful behavior in our past, but don’t despair:
From the Conversation of the Merciful God with a Despairing Soul:
Jesus: What joy fills My Heart when you return to Me. Because you are weak, I take you in My arms and carry you to the home of My Father.
Soul: (as if awakening, asks fearfully): Is it possible that there is yet mercy for me?

If you haven’t confessed the behavior that is causing you such worry (along with your physical symptoms) I urge you to go to confession and receive the Lord’s forgiveness and mercy. He loves you and He’s waiting there for you. :hug1:
