Please pray for me - I am almost to "despair."

Prayers for you from someone dealing with the exact same symptoms. You will be remembered at my Holy Hour! One of the blessings of my own discomfort is that I’m up at night praying the breviary. Perhaps you could try it. The psalms remind us of God’s abiding presence and infinite mercy.

Be calm. Do not fear. And don’t despair.
You’ve admitted whatever guilt you believe you have - to God and now publicly. Now, just pray. It could be something not as serious as you’re thinking. Perhaps, it’s God’s Way of warning you - and perhaps, it’s God’s Plan for your life - not necessarily a punishment. Just walk with God from now on - instead of some of the past ways you mentioned. Let God take over from here. Calm down…Do not fear.

Please, Dear God, Dearest Father in Heaven - We pray that whatever this malady is - that it be cleared or cured by Thy Divine Hand and Grace. Guide this soul to walk in Thy Light, in good health and not in fear. We ask this, by Thy Divine Grace and Mercy, through Our Lady’s Intercession, and in the Name of Thy Divine Son, Jesus. Amen.
 
I am so moved once again by the people on this board.

I did not get to the point of despair, but tried my hardest to find peace - and even met with a seminarian to discuss my issues with submitting to God’s will in scary times.

Your prayers have helped, and I believe have all been answered. I got the results back and spoke with the endocrinologist and the sonogram indicates that I do have nodules on my thyroid, but that they are all benign. I will do another scan in 3 months, to make sure, but they all seem fairly certain (radiologist, endocrinologist) that my nodules are benign.

I can NOT thank you ENOUGH. Your time in prayer for me is an overwhelming and humbling feeling, and I appreciate it more than you know. Thank you so much, and thank God for the peace I felt, and still feel, and the WONDERFUL prognosis.
