I am praying for you and for your husband. Menopause is such a difficult thing to go through. And with your other health problems I’m sure you are depressed. God can heal that.

I’m sure that I have driven my husband crazy several different times with the depression and many other symptoms of menopause.

I’m also sure that he brought on some of it by his lack of understanding.

Most men can’t understand what a woman goes through. They can’t because God really did make them different. They should go down on their knees and thank God everyday that he didn’t make them a woman…lol

May the Lord God of Israel richly bless you with His presence and guidance. May he smile upon your husband, blessing him with increased understanding and compassion. Amen.

One of the daily morning prayers Jewish men use says exactly that!

Tina, I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this. I had my hysterectomy almost 4 months ago, on May 9. Surgical menopause is wacky thing–all the fun of menopause all at once. It’s especially difficult since your husband doesn’t seem to understand what you’re going through. Will he go with you to the doctor? Maybe he/she can explain that this isn’t just in your head, that it is a real medical issue.

I’ll pray for you! I also want to recommend checking out the website www.hystersisters.com I found it not long after my surgery. There are so many women who have been in you (our) situation–it just helps to have someone to talk to who knows what you’re going through.

Aurora,

I am already a member of Hystersisters and it is a wonderful site. I have gotten a lot of help there, even prayers. I just wish my husband could be understanding. Instead, I get yelled at for not feeling well, for not feeling like making dinner sometimes, just for every little thing. I am tired of him making me cry.😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 I pray for him, but it doesn’t seem to do any good…

I had a hysterectomy 4 years ago, but they left my ovaries. I have never felt better! No more pain or bleeding - it was a blessing. I’ll pray for you - trust me you will feel better.

Tina when you are talking to your counsellor, talk about this. Don’t forget to talk about this.

Think of things this way. Your hysterectomy inevitably saved your life. Now be judicious about how you celebrate your renewed gift of life. I am happy you are on the planet.

Remember that it is not just him making you cry… The hormones are playing a big role in that.

Prayer always works and is always being answered…maybe not the way we want. GOD has a plan!! He does hear you prayers for your husband and he is answering…just listen…

I pray that God heal your pain mentally, physically, and spiritually. I pray that God touch your husband and give him the understanding to deal with the hormones during this time of change in your body…In Jesus name I pray…AMEN

Sorry you’re having a difficult time and I will pray for you.

Have you been placed on hormone replacement treatment? If not, be sure to discuss this with your doctor at the next opportunity. It could make a world of difference.

Even for menstruating women, the hormonal changes every month can affect everything from mood to how they feel about their spiritual lives, far less someone who enters menopause, whether naturally or after surgery. Too many of us just have not been taught the natural rhythms of our bodies and we blame ourselves for the way we feel at different times.

Hang in there. But please do talk to your doctor about hormones.
