Christmas is about Christ coming to us, of God becoming Incarnate.

What Christ taught us is not about what we get FROM others, but rather what we TO others.

I’ll pray for you.

Christmas isn’t about shoes or a bible, or any other present under a tree. It isnt even about the family dynamics you are dealing with.

Talk with your pastor. He can guide you to the true meaning of Christmas.

God’s blessings

I am sorry your Christmas didn’t turn out the way you wanted it to. I learned at a young age what disappointment is. I had to lower my expectations. Some things that happen are just not perfect. It’s about dealing with these disappointments in a healthy way. I pray that tomorrow you will have a different outlook on the matter with the help of our Lord. Ask him to comfort you and ask the Holy Spirit to give you the words and actions to get through this difficult time. Pray for your family. I am praying for you.

I’m feeling absolutely devastated that I didn’t get anything for Christmas. What I asked for wasn’t even a thing that I wanted it was a need and waking up this morning to see nothing under the tree was a very hard thing to do. Please pray for me, I’m extremely depressed. I’m probably just going to sit in my room all day.
OK so what t did you GIVE to others? I had no gifts either and no tree and am not depressed about it… rather than sit alone all day, please get out there and find someone who needs company .

Christmas IS about giving. And we chose to give to the truly needy rather than what we do not need.

I was humbly going to take the shoes but my mom told me to go to my dad and he didn’t really care. He said he doesn’t have a lot of money and I’d liked to mention he stole $10000 from my brother and had no regret. He was like alright we’ll get it done don’t worry when I asked him for the credit card to get the shoes which really means “Go away and I hope you don’t come pester me again.” It’s extremely hard too because since my father isn’t working and will not work. He’s a well educated with a degree in medicine and engineering but pride got into him and he hasn’t worked for 20 years and will not at all. Meanwhile my mom works as a manager at a grocery store and works another job after that. I tried giving the man a chance for the last year but he’s a lost cause.
Give him your prayers and your love

My family loves me very much. However, my sister and mother would always get me a coat and shoes every year too. I always wanted something “fun”. Now I realize they do it because they know right well that I would never buy myself a coat and shoes. I would wear very old clothes and shoes instead and buy books and candy instead. Yes, even as an adult.

They are simply very sensible people who love and care for me and don’t want me to be shabby or cold. I should use past tense because my dear mother is in heaven now. I miss her very much.

Gary Chapman in his book, “The five languages of love” talks about the different ways people express love and interpret love. Some people would like to receive gifts, others compliments and praise, others prefer a hug or kiss, etc. Some wives only feel loved through acts of service, as when their husbands. do the dishes. The variety of ways of showing love is true in parent/child relationships, too.

The key is to learn how to express what you need and give in a way that makes others feel loved, depending on what they need. The book explains this in great detail.

I have learned to be grateful and happy to have a caring and loving husband who listens to my problems and does so much for me. I accept the fact he doesn’t buy presents for me.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Mental Peace

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility
and Mother of Hope,
look upon patmappas in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and
unchangeable, and, that
true human love can only
begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -
which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
And, help her to bring this
    same Peace into the lives
    of others.
Our Lady of Mental Peace,
  • Pray for us!
    Amen.
Jesus, Help Me!

In every need let me come to You with humble trust,
saying:
Jesus, help me!
In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations:
Jesus, help me!
In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials:
Jesus, help me!
In the failure of my plans and hopes, in disappointments,
troubles and sorrows:
Jesus, help me!
When others fail me, and Your Grace alone can assist me:
Jesus, help me!
When I throw myself on Your tender Love as Savior:
Jesus, help me!
When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good
come from my efforts:
Jesus, help me!
When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me:
Jesus, help me!
When I am ill, and my head and hands cannot work and
I am lonely:
Jesus, help me!

Always, always, in spite of weakness, falls and short-
comings of every kind:
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, help me and never forsake me!

Amen

Prayer Against Depression
………….By St Ignatius of Loyola

O Christ Jesus
When all is darkness
And we feel our weakness and helplessness,
Give us the sense of Your Presence,
Your Love and Your Strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
In Your protecting love
And strengthening power,
So that nothing may frighten or worry us,
For, living close to You,
We shall see Your Hand,
Your Purpose, Your Will through all things.

Amen.

Let Nothing Disturb You

Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things are passing away:
God never changes.

Patience,
Obtains all things,
Whoever has God
Lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.

To Our Lady of Surprises

O Mary, my mother and Our Lady of Surprises, what a happy joy you caused the wedding guests, when you asked your Divine Son to work the miracle of water into wine. What a happy surprise for them since they thought the wine had run dry. I, too, Mary, love surprises and as your child, may I ask you to favor me with one today? I ask this only because you are my ever caring mother.

I am sorry to hear that. Keep in mind that God is capable of giving us what we need if we put him first in our lives. Also, keep in mind the true meaning of Christmas. The greatest gift you could ever receive was that God became man. And when God came he did not come to us as a powerful king in a palace, but as the lowest of the low, a homeless baby, born in a cave, in a feeding trough for animals. And in so doing he declared all men equal.

Your parents may not have been able to afford anything to give you materially, but the greatest gift they can give you is themselves, their love for you. Some kids would give all their presents away just to be able to receive that love, to be able to be with their parents. This is where we discover what is truly important. Our relationships with people and especially with God is what is going to give us true satisfaction.

The fact that you have a room to go to means you have a roof over your head and are taken care of. If your parents had the means don’t you think they would have gotten you this thing you think you need? Reconcile with them because they are much more important than any thing that you could have gotten for Christmas.

Praying for you.

*In the beginning was the Word,

and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.

He was in the beginning with God.

All things came to be through him,
and without him nothing came to be.
What came to be
through him was life,
and this life was the light of the human race;
the light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness has not overcome it.*

Try to think on this whenever you feel unloved, unwanted, and abandoned. God bless.

I will pray for you. Also, let’s pray for others who did not receive anything for Christmas, that God will give them peace and comfort.
