Surgery Update: COMPLICATIONS
Have a lot of loose phlegm and am spitting up the phlegm but it has a little blood with it.
Calcium is now too low … doctor had known this was going to happen … so gave me supplements, but they just had to raise the amount of supplement I’m taking because I am having low calcium symptoms … was told this could go on for six months. Was also told if the symptoms get worse I have to go back to hospital.

the pain and the worry. You know the desire of her heart to be healed. I ask now for Your healing touch. I know that You are able and that just like in
Bible times, You can release her from her illness and pain.

Dear Lord be Katherine’s protector and defender in this time of trouble.
Surround them with the Holy Angels,
so that she may emerge from every danger in the fullness of health and well being. Guide her life journey, so she will always walk safely together with you, in God’s protection and friendship.

Thank you for all your prayers … sorry that I haven’t been praying … maybe later I will feel better and can pray … but up to now I haven’t been feeling well enough.
Taking 1000 units of calcium every 4 hours for hypocalcemia due to parathyroid being taken out … this is expected … and can last anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months … I was hoping I would not have to go through this, but then again there were much worse complications that could have happened that didn’t.
I think my lungs are doing better and at least there was no reason to return to the hospital … so all in all I would say this surgery was a success. Just hoping I will get some energy back … my lupus is probably affecting that.
Want to say thank you again to all my prayer warriors … you people are amazing and have helped me through this … God Bless you all.

I’m recovering … pain less each day … taking 1000 units of calcium every 4 hours … wondering how long it’s going to be before my other parathyroids kick in and start making calcium … no way to really know … could take up to 6 months … praying it’s less.
Thinking forward and going to Sloan Kettering next Saturday … am getting worried about the cancer and the surgery … read that it takes 3-6 months to recover from kidney surgery … getting a little upset about this.
On the other hand have two different tests showing different results … so I guess the first step is to figure out which test is correct. I do have other symptoms of having a tumor … blood test results … just a waiting game to see what doctor decides to do next.
