Please pray for me, Possible Cirrhosis of the Liver

Thank you to all of you for your continued prayers … I am waiting to hear from the doctor about the test I took last week … and I’m a little nervous.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from

the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (Katherine438). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by

speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.

You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from

the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Katherine438’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Just want to take a moment to thank all of you for your continued prayers for me during this difficult time. My heart is lifted each time a prayer is said … and please know that I remember all of you in my prayers each evening.

Still waiting on results from last week’s test … I am presuming that the longer it takes, the better the news is as bad news does indeed travel fast.

MRI RESULTS … FANTASTIC NEWS SO FAR

The MRI showed something so small on my kidney that they aren’t even sure it is cancer … it could even be a cyst … they just aren’t sure … but there is still a major question … why am I bleeding through my urine … which is the first sign of kidney cancer … or in the alternative, I could have bladder cancer … they have to do more testing … but as of this moment I don’t need kidney surgery … they want to just wait and watch it … they don’t cut into you for something this small that is questionable … so I think that’s fantastic news … except I don’t know what’s going on with the blood … so I’m still up in the air.

The one thing that is strange is that the ultrasound found a 3.2 centimeter lesion on the kidney … and that is not what was found on the MRI. The doctor said that Sloan Kettering did not do the ultrasound and he has no idea what they are talking about. He is thinking of doing an ultrasound at Sloan just to be totally cautious.

Prayer can do amazing things … I’ve been praying that the ultrasound was somehow wrong … if this is proven out to be accurate, it feels like a miracle.

Meanwhile the first surgeon was going to go in on November 4 and do an operation that I apparently didn’t need. He told me I definitely had cancer.

I am in shock … but still worried because of the blood in the urine … but definitely feeling better about things … and yes, God is good … I’ve been praying that the ultrasound was somehow wrong, and that is basically what they told me … the ultrasound was wrong.

Prayers of thanksgiving and that the ultrasound will be the same.
 
The Final Report came in … IT IS DEFINITELY A CYST.

This feels like a miracle.

I had a surgeon tell me I had cancer and he was doing kidney surgery on November 4th … thank goodness I went to Sloan Kettering.

Spoke to the surgeon at Sloan tonight and he told me that he felt that they mixed up the ultrasound report … he feels that the ultrasound report they gave me must have been someone else’s and they got my report … he’s worried that someone has cancer and is thinking they don’t because they have my report.

I’m getting a cystoscopy at Sloan in two weeks to try to figure out why there is blood in my urine … so I still need prayers that we don’t get bad news. I could have bladder stones which would be the good result or I could have bladder cancer which would be the bad news … but right now I’m thinking positive and maybe they’ll just find an infection.

Can someone change the title of this thread to Please pray for me, I’m getting medical tests.

I’m actually dizzy with all this news … now I have to worry about a new part of my body … but the fact that I don’t have kidney cancer after a test showed that I did is absolutely amazing … Praise the Lord for He is my Savior.
