Hello everyone,
I just joined this site. Was told about this site from a family member. I am a 65 year old female. I live in AL. I have been a Protestant all my life. I am a Christian. I have been baptised. I have been reading alot about the Catholic faith as a result of my granddaughter who is currently attending RCIA classes. I am concerned that at my age I am really too old to change my religion. I am having a strong desire to attend mass but have not yet taken this step. Please pray that God will guide me in the direction that He wants me to take.

Praise the Lord in Heaven! Everything is in His Blessed time. If you need inspriation and hope while we pray for you, please read this post: forums.catholic-questions.org/showpost.php?p=2500674&postcount=11
As long as you are on this earth, you are called to the fullness of faith with us. We exalt the Name of God, who is mercy and love.

Merciful Lord in Heaven, you call to each of your creations, so that Your name will be praised to highest Heaven. Blessed Father, we lift Mary Angeline up to You, praising Your name and begging that You incline Your ear to hear our prayers for her conversion to the ancient faith, which leads all souls to You, the Ancient One. Fill her heart with desire to know You in the most profound sense, that she may be thrilled and overjoyed to receive Your Only Begotten Son in the Blessed Sacrament. Call this loving heart to a complete union with the Heavenly Host, that not one which was granted to Your Son would be lost. May Your Son, our Lord and Redeemer, intercede on Mary Angeline’s behalf, securing Your graces of mercy and enlightenment as she walks her journey to You. We ask this through Christ, our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen. Alleluia!

(((prayers))) for you. May God gently lead you unto the path. May He take any doubts that may arise in your mind :signofcross:

PS- I am a convert

God works in mysterious ways, and it’s never too late to answer His call (haha, this is coming from an 18 year old). You’re in my prayers. There is a man that is in his sixties in the RCIA ministry at my church and you’d never guess that he’d just been baptized a year (or two?) ago… he knows more than most cradle-Catholics.

In all honesty, your story gives me hope. I pray everyday for the conversion of my entire family, even the ones that I might consider “too old to change.”

God bless you on your journey!

Praying for you! May you know God’s plan and may you take that first step, no matter how big that step may be.

I encourage you to take that first step by attending mass with your granddaughter, or by yourself. Sit in the back and listen and watch. Afterward, if you have questions or if you feel comfortable, approach the priest and tell him of your thoughts.

I hope to post a welcome home next Easter!😉

A big welcome to Catholic Answers, MaryAngeline, may it be the channel of many blessings for you…

Never too late…your a young 65:thumbsup: …will be keeping you in prayer that The Lord will make His Will crystal clear to you. Calling me to be Catholic is one of the greatest gifts God has given to me and the signs are with you in a strong attraction to The Church…

Welcome to CAF, MaryAngeline! :tiphat: You are not too old to change. I will keep you in my prayers. Here is a link for Scott Hahn’s conversion story if your interested. God bless you!

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us, sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
