I would very much appreciate it if you would be kind enough to pray for me. I suffer from a severe anxiety disorder that, while I am on medication to help lessen my anxiety attacks, still manages to interefere with various aspects of my daily life. I have the most difficulties when in a new environment or if I am in a social situation where I cannot leave without being rude (i.e. it would be rude to leave a class or an appointment early, which sort of makes me feel trapped as odd as that sounds). I am a university student and my spring semester classes are starting tomorrow. The first week or two of classes is always the hardest for me. In fact, last semester my anxiety was so bad that I would sometimes get all the way to my class only to turn around and leave before getting through the doorway. Were it not for my anxiety problems I would have had perfect attendance last semester. The fact that I still managed to get great grades despite all this is proof that the Lord is helping me through these trials.
The medication also helps, and I am sure once I am past the first week or two things will be less difficult for me. Still, my classes all have strict non-negotiable attendance policies so I can only miss so many classes before automatically failing despite how well I do on exams or assignments. I pray daily to the Lord for help and healing with this problem and hope one day to be cured, especially since I did not always have this problem but once was actually a quite extroverted person. Anyway, I apologize for rambling on like this. Again I would be very thankful to anyone who will take a few moments of their time to say a prayer for me concerning this. Thank you.
