Lately I’ve been feeling a slight emptiness and I thought maybe because I haven’t been fully devoting myself in prayer and in reading the bible. So last night I was listening to worship songs and prayed here and there when something will come to mind. Right before falling asleep I asked God what is my vocation, what is his will for my life and in my head I said be like mother Theresa. As soon as that thought came across I felt a repulsive feeling. I was filled with so much sadness and started crying. I admire a nuns life but I don’t know if that’s for me but I also do want to do Gods will. I woke up today with this huge knot in my chest and it hasn’t going away. Today is my dad’s birthday and I couldn’t fully celebrate with him because each minute that passed by the sadness grew and I didn’t want to break down crying again in front of him. Also sometimes I doubt myself and my faith in God, my biggest fear is that I might turn away from him and I don’t want that. I’m scared that the distance between God and I will grow.

Hail Mary,
Full of grace,
The Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of death,
Amen

Here is a Prayer to Know One’s Vocation from USCCB. I will say it for you now and maybe you want to say it yourself also when you are thinking about your vocation. Just replace your name with “Me”. God bless you.

Lord, our God and our loving Father, you have made Nairovyg to know you, to love you, to serve you, and thereby to find and to fulfill their deepest longings. We know that you are in all things, and that every path can lead us to you.

But of them all, there is one especially by which you want Nairovyg to come to you. Since they will do what you want of them, we pray you, send your Holy Spirit to Nairovyg: into their mind, to show them what you want of them; into their heart, to give them the determination to do it, and to do it with all their love, with all their mind, and with all of their strength right to the end. Jesus, we trust in you. Amen

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Memorare
*
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence,
I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother;
to thee do I come, before thee I stand,
sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

Amen*

Praying for you comfort in God and for his Peace to be with you.

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.

I’m praying for you. May God grant you a closer relationship with Him.

Sincerest Prayers:
Our Father who art in heaven…
Hail Mary, full of grace… Hail Mary, full of grace… Hail Mary, full of grace…
Glory Be to the Father…
Amen…

You are in my prayers.

Remember, one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit is peace. If you feel led to something that does not provide you with peace, pray long and hard before you commit.

You’re pretty close to Penetecost. I pray for the Holy Spirit to come upon you Sunday.

There was a gospel reading recently that you should meditate on while I pray for you.

“Jesus said to his disciples:
'I have much more to tell you, but you cannot bear it now.
But when he comes, the Spirit of truth,
he will guide you to all truth.
He will not speak on his own,
but he will speak what he hears,
and will declare to you the things that are coming.”

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

If you are discerning a vocation, please speak to your parish priest. Just because an answer popped into your head during prayer doesn’t mean it is God’s voice. Nor just because it said “be like Mother Teresa” means He wants you to be a Missionary of Charity. It could mean that He wishes you to let Him use you as an instrument, to thirst for souls, or to bring Him souls starting with charity in your home. Mother Teresa did these things for Jesus and recommended them for everyone. That’s why it is so helpful to have a regular confessor or spiritual director to bounce things off of, so we can make sure we discern His will correctly. Praying for you!

Prayer Through the Intercession of St. Justin Martyr

O God, who through the Cross
wondrously taught Saint Justin the Martyr
the surpassing knowledge of Jesus Christ,
grant us, through his intercession,
that, having rejected deception and error,
we may become steadfast in the faith.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity
of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.

Today’s rosary and Devotion to the Infant Jesus of Prague went out for all of the petitioners here on the Board; that includes you.

FYI—I agree with Wild Thing. I hear plenty of things in my head, but that doesn’t mean that they come from God.

Peace of the Risen Lord Be Upon You!
