Praying for your family and friends during this difficult time. I am certain she is in Heaven with our God and you will one day be reunited. But as others have posted…I am at a loss for words. My own son is an addict and I have no idea where he is or if he is alive. I know the tragedy you feel in your heart…My cousin died as a teenager from a drug overdose…It is such a horrific time for all when this hits a family. My heart goes out to you and may God comfort you in a way that only He can do…Stay strong my dear friend. Diane

Jay, i hope you can get some comfort from this poem i came accross a while ago, its called
Prayer for Consolation
i’ll lend you for a little while , a child of mine God said, for you to love the while she lives and mourn for when she’s dead. It may be six or seven years or forty two or three; but will you till i call her back take care of her for me, She’ll bring her charms to gladden you, and should her stay be brief you’ll have her lovely memories as a solace for your grief. I cannot promise she will stay since all from earth return; But there are lessons taught below i want this child to learn. I’ve looked the whole world over in my search for teacher’s true, and from the things that crowd lifes lane, i have chosen you, Now will you give her all your love, nor think the labour vain, nor hate me when i come to take this lent child back again. I fancied that i heard them say Dear Lord, thy will be done, for all the joys thy child will bring the risk of grief we’ll run. We’ll shelter her with tenderness. We’ll love her while we may, and for the happiness we’ve known forever grateful stay. but should thy angels call for her much sooner than we planned, we’ll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand.

still Praying for you. God bless

So sorry to know that …
your daughter will be in my prayers

Eternal rest grant unto Kathleen, O Lord. And may your Perpetual Light shine upon her. May she rest in peace.
Amen

Prayers for you and your family too…

I am so sorry to hear this. She and the rest of your family will be in my prayers.

To echo the other posters, I am very sorry for your loss. Words are failing me right now, but I will be praying for your daughter and your whole family.

Hello Everyone,
Thank you for praying for Kathleen and our family. I know it has been a while since I placed this request. These months since the funeral have been hard…some times very hard.

I want to share a wonderful event with you.

I started reading a catholic devotional book (actaully a magazine) the Magnificat in early Janurary. I really love this magiazine it is very good. After Kathleen died i didn’t read it…I was in shock and planning the funeral, etc. On the morning of her funeral Jan. 27th I knew i would need all the strenght and grace I could get so I decided to read the Mass readings for that day. As i thumbed thru to that day’s readings (Jan. 27th) and opened it to that date I saw that very day is the feast day of St. Anglea Merici…Kathleen’s confirmation Saint!! I remember my soul screaming Oh my God! I had no idea St Anglea even had a feast day. Jesus let me know, in no uncertain terms, that He had Kahtleen Home safe with Him.
I pray with every fiber of my being that she is plunged deep into the Heart of Jesus; into His all consuming fire of Love.

Mary please hug Kathleen for me

thanks agian,
jay

You are all in my prayers. Peace be with you.

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
