O Lord
I do not know what to ask you.
You alone know my real needs,
and you love me more
than I even know how to love.
Enable me to discern my true needs
which are hidden from me.
I ask for neither cross nor consolation;
I wait in patience for you.
My heart is open to you.
For your great mercy’s sake,
come to me and help me.
Put your mark on me and heal me,
cast me down and raise me up.
Silently I adore your holy will
and your inscrutable ways.
I offer myself in sacrifice to you
and put all my trust in you.
I desire only to do your will.
Teach me how to pray
and pray in me, yourself.

Code:
Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things pass away:
God never changes.
Patience obtains all things.
He who has God
Finds he lacks nothing;
God alone suffices.

~St. Teresa of Avila~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Place your mind before the mirror of eternity!
Place your soul in the brilliance of glory!
And transform your entire being into the image of the Godhead Itself through contemplation.
~ St. Claire of Assisi~
Give me O Lord, I pray Thee
firm faith, unwavering hope
perfect charity.
Pour into my heart
the Spirit of wisdom and understanding
the Spirit of counsel and spiritual strength
the Spirit of knowledge and true godliness
and the Spirit of Thy holy fear
Light eternal, shine in my heart
Power eternal, deliver me from evil
Wisdom eternal, scatter the darkness of my ignorance
Might eternal, pity me
Grant that I may ever seek Thy face
with all my heart and soul and strength;
and, in thine infinite mercy,
bring me at last to Thy holy presence
where I shall behold Thy glory
and possess Thy promised joys
Thank you all for your prayers. As much as I hoped that I would be able to enter this year, I want to do God’s will and if He says I’m not ready, I have to trust that He knows better than I do. And it doesn’t mean that I am not called to be a Sister, and it doesn’t mean that I can’t continue to discern, it just means that I must exercise patience and rely totally on Him. I am currently making plans to go back to school later this spring and I am still on the move to find a job and/or volunteer work at a soup kitchen/food pantry. My mom encouraged me to keep my options open and not worry what I’ll be doing 5 years from now. Just focus on the present task. Good advice. 😉
*Your mom did give you good advice. 🙂 Continuing to keep you in my prayers. This is a big thing, and big things take time to make sure you hear right what God has in store for you. Thank you for updating us here. *
