Please pray for my Grandmother.

Thanks everyone, again, for your prayers. Today my Grandmother had her test, and Praise God, it went mostly without mishap.

However, again, Friday, she will find out the results of all these tests she’s been having, and Pancreatic Cancer is a big worry. For those who do not know, Pancreatic Cancer is one of the most deadly and incurable cancers, statistically, so please, please pray that the Lord will deliver her from such a diagnosis, if He so wills it.

Additionally, I ask for prayers for my father. He had early-stage prostate cancer last year, a few years prior to that lost both his Father and Sister within a week of each other, and now he’s facing his Mother’s potential cancer. He is not taking it well, and his relationships with his family are suffering from his anger. Today, he found me sleeping when he came home, and because I am unemployed he really unleashed on me, screaming at me, cursing, etc., generally speaking to me as he’s never spoken before. He was such a kind and compassionate man once, I just ask for your prayers that the Lord will return his piece of mind and help him to see himself more clearly.

Thank you all very much, and may God Bless You.

Praying for your grandmother and your family.

Hail Mary, Full of Grace
The Lord is with Thee
Blessed art thou amongst women
And blessed is the Fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God
Pray for us sinners
Now and at the hour of our death. AMEN

Thank you for your prayers and advice, michaelcollins - only noticed them now, sorry for the oversight. We will attempt to look at all options for her when we discover what’s the matter tomorrow.

Thanks for everyone’s prayers, again. Tomorrow’s the big day! May St. Peregrine pray for her.

Thank you, everyone.

As an update, we went today and it’s still inconclusive whether or not it’s cancer, all we know is she has a tumor/mass on her pancreas, and that surgery is the best option. We are going to consult with oncologists and a surgeon next week to figure things out.

Thank you all for your prayers, again. May God Bless and Keep you.

Jesus please grant healing to this loved grandmother. Please surround her and her family with light and love.
Thank You, Jesus

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Further update: my Grandmother is currently debating the options heavily. Surgery seems to be recommended by all the doctors, but it (the “Whipple Procedure”) is one of the most high risk, complicated surgeries imaginable, with the potential for a very, very long recovery time and a LOT of complications.

If she truly does have pancreatic cancer (they aren’t sure yet, they just know she has a mass, not if it’s cancerous), it looks like the odds are stacked against her, surgery or no surgery.

Please continue to pray for her and my family that we would understand the best course of treatment for her, according to the Lord’s will.

God Bless you all.

She has my prayers! I pray she makes the proper decision, and for her health. Ave Maria! St. Peregrine ora pro nobis!

I’m still learning to ask the saints for their prayers, so I will take this opportunity as a blessing and ask St. Peregrine for his prayers as well.

Thank you all for your continued prayers.

Praise God, He has given her an answer, and she had decided to go for the surgery. She initially thought she didn’t want to have it, so I consider it an act of the Holy Spirit’s intervention that she has changed her mind. It really is the best course of action for her, statistically - it will allow her to live, if things go well, for 2-3 more years, on average, compared to a mere 8 to 10 months, statistically, if she didn’t have the surgery.

However, this surgery is very complicated, and as many as 40% of patients develop complications afterward. I ask the Prayer Intentions community to please pray to the Lord Our God that she may avoid such complications, and that her 83 year old body may withstand all of this. We have chosen a surgeon who has done more of these surgeries West of the Mississippi River than anyone else, so it is now in God’s hands.

Thank you all. May God Bless and Keep You, and may the Lord’s Will be clear to you in your own lives.
