Still praying.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of death. Amen.

Once again I am asking for your generous prayers as my husband has two interviews this week.

Please pray that he receives an offer from one of them. (We would prefer the one closest to home so we don’t have to move but will go where the job is and where God wants us to be.) Financially we are living on what little savings we have left and the Cobra is more than half his unemployment for the month.

Dear Merciful Father, please assist us in our time of need. Open the hearts and minds of the potential employers so that my husband is offered a job and that he may be able to support our family. Please guide us to serve You and do Your will. Please assist all of those who have taken the time to pray for our family in our time of need. Please bless them abundantly. I ask this in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, AMEN

Still praying for you Dana and your husband…

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Psalm 19 (20)
Prayer for victory

May the Lord hear your prayer in the day of tribulation, may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
May he send you help from his holy place; from Sion, may he extend his protection.

May he remember every one of your sacrifices and find merit in your burnt-offerings.
May he deal with you as your heart desires and bring all your plans to fulfilment.

We will rejoice in your saving help, we will raise our banners in the name of God; may the Lord grant all your prayers.

Now I know that the Lord keeps his anointed one safe: in his sanctuary in heaven he hears his prayer, and lends the support of his strong right hand.

Some put their faith in chariots and some in horses, but we invoked the name of the Lord our God.
They stumbled and fell, but we rose and we stand upright.

Lord, keep the king safe, and hear our prayer whenever we call upon you.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

Sweethart, Will Continue To Pray For You And Your Husband And Family.

Merciful Lord, out of Your infinite love of this family, continue to inspire them with hope as You provide for them in every sense. Inspire greater faith and trust in them, leading them with the blessing of Your Holy Spirit. I ask this through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Who lives with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen! Alleluia!

We are in great need of your prayers and support. My husband thought his second interview went really well, but it’s been a week and we haven’t heard back from the company. He is getting very depressed and we are very worried about our future. It’s three months he hasn’t been working and funds are dwindling fast.

On top of it all we’ve gotten more bad news regarding his health issues and also that my oldest son who has many medical issues of his own will be laid off in mid-December. Cobra-ing our insurance is getting too difficult to keep up as it sucks up more than half of my husband’s unemployment, but without insurance, neither my husband nor oldest son will be able to afford necessary medications to keep them alive. My being on SSDI doesn’t help much for income, and trying to help everyone and dealing with the stress has caused my own illness to relapse.

We’ve been praying very hard and trying to have faith that He will provide for us, but things are getting so difficult and I worry that God’s will for us may be a harder road than we already have. He doesn’t always steer us down the easy path or fix all of our problems. I also feel that He’s trying to teach us something in this and maybe it’s continuing because we’re too dense to figure it out.

We have not had a particularly easy road with all of the health and financial issues in our family for sooooo many years, but we have been blessed with each other and have had it easier than many others in this world.

So I vacillate between being very prayerful, hopeful, and trusting in our Lord, and being very fearful about what other plans He may have for us. Is it arrogant of me to have faith and believe that God will help us and get us through this by helping my husband get a job? Or is it wrong of me to feel worried about the road we may be asked to follow next and guilty for feeling it?

Thank you for allowing me to express my concerns here. I am so blessed to have your support and your prayers. In return I can only ask our Blessed Trinity to bless you all and keep you safe.

Bless you,
Dana

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Psalm 145 (146)
The blessedness of those who hope in the Lord

Praise the Lord, my soul. I will praise the Lord all my life, make music to my God as long as I exist.

Do not trust in princes to save you, they are only sons of men.
One day their breath will leave them, they will return to the ground; on that day perish all their plans.

Happy the one whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God,
who made heaven and earth and all that is in them,
who keeps faith for ever, who gives justice to the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry.

The Lord frees prisoners, he gives light to the blind, he raises the fallen.
The Lord loves the upright, cares for strangers, sustains orphans and widows; but the wicked he sends astray.

The Lord will reign for all ages, your God, O Sion, from generation to generation.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

Thank you so much Phoenix for your prayers. We appreciate them so much! May the Holy Trinity bless you and keep you in His constant care!
