Thank you for your prayers! I went to the therapist yesterday and have another appointment in two weeks. I felt a little better talking to someone who wasn’t a relative or a friend about my problems. I was told that the number one thing that I need to do is take care of myself, which is something that many have told me. I also need to stop obsessing about John and the other woman because there is not a thing I can do about it. My therapist said that since John is having second thoughts about the divorce that the ball is in his court, but I need to keep moving on with my life and find something everyday that makes me happy. If John decides that he wants to give this marriage a chance he will have to do a few things which I am not sure he will do. If that is the case then I don’t see how our marriage can survive even though I love him very much. I continue to pray and ask God for guidance during this time.

John called me about an hour after I got out of therapy and asked how it went and if I was okay. I said it went well and that I have things that I need to work on and that I have another appointment. He then called me later last night to talk briefly and said that he was starting work today.

I pray that we can continue communicating with one another and that we will reconcile. I know it will be a long and difficult road if we do and we will have some setbacks, but if we make it through our marriage will be stronger. I bought John a book for New Year’s about having God in your life and how He can change it. I hope he will read it. May God Bless All of You!

Thank you for updating Cassie. It seems that things are going better. Still praying for you both.

I am so glad that the therapy session went well. Please continue. I agree with the therapist when they said you should focus on you. You can control how you handle things but you can’t control anyone else. They have free will and a mind of there own. Even Jesus took time for himself when he went into the desert after his baptism and a second time when he left his friends to pray and went farther into the garden to pray. As always know you are loved and that you and John are in my prayers and all our prayers on the boards.

Lord, please look with kindness upon this struggling couple. Bless them with all they are in need of to reconcile their differences. Bless the therapist and may he/she help these children of yours to discover new wonders and goodness about the other. Help them to be quick to listen and forgive, slow to anger and close mindedness. Grant them continued progress towards healing, forgiveness and reconciliation. Dearest Holy Family pray for them, and for all who have troubled marriages. Bless them all with peace and the Love which surpasses all understanding. May they find You more fully, and in finding you find the beauty of each other. Grant them a marriage as strong as death, and which continues into life everlasting.

Thank you for your continued prayers. I have been feeling a little down today, mainly because I am obsessing about John and the other woman now that he is back at work and away from me. I am praying that God will help me through this. Your prayers and words of encouragement help a great deal. I know that life is not easy and there are greater problems in the world than mine so I am praying for all those who are in desperate need of prayers. I know that this mood will pass and that I have many things to be thankful for so I will try to focus on those. I continue to pray for John and his mental health and for our marriage. I sometimes wonder why I am fighting so hard for it, but I haven’t found the answer yet. I am trusting in the Lord to help and guide me through this. May God bless you all and thank you for all your past and continued support.

You are worth wild and your problems are important to us. We all care about you here on the boards. I am sorry you feel a little down today it is hard to let go of something you have no control over like John and the other women. I love your attitude about trusting in the Lord. You are such an example to the rest of us. Little do you know while you might not feel it but you are helping to encourage other on in their problems. I appreciator the reality in which you share it is so inspiring. Thank you for being who you are. 🙂

Cassie, I am praying that the Lord uplifts you and supports you with His loving embrace through this entire test of your faith. May He send you the grace of inner peace as you progress toward the completion of His will. Amen.

You have a wonderful strength in the midst of such sadness and pain. God is working great things in you. Please Lord continue to lift this child of yours close to you, may she feel your warm and loving embrace in a special way. Please soften the heart of her husband towards her and reunite this family created in your image and likeness in the holy sacrament of marriage. Free them from all that keeps them from the beauty of each other, and all that keeps them from peace with you and their marriage. Bless them and make them holy in you and may they come to resemble more fully the beauty of the exemplary model of family life, the Holy Family. Bless them with the true gift in the joy of receiving one another again, in peace and love, for life and life everlasting.

Still praying, Cassie!

I am also praying that this New Year will herald a new start for your marriage! 🙂

Cassie I ask the Lord that 2009 will soon be a new beginning for your marriage. God bless you both

Dear Cassie I pray to our Jesus that 2009 will be better for you and your husband. a best beginning for you both. God bless

Thank you for your prayers. I am not feeling well today and am running a fever along with feeling a little depressed because I am home alone again. It was so wonderful to have my family in the house again, but I realize that we all have to move on with our lives including my kids. I called John this morning and left a message telling him Happy New Year. I am going to try and make this year better than last and I too will be praying that our marriage will get a new start. I am trying to focus on myself but it is hard, I have always taken care of others before myself. I am praying that the sessions with the therapist will help me because there are times that I feel lost. I have had long talks with God about everything that is going on with me and I know He hears me because some of the questions I have asked have been answered already. I still believe that there is a reason for everything that happens in life even though sometimes it may be hard. Thank you my friends for your support in 2008 and for your continued prayers and support in 2009, they mean alot to me. May God Bless You!

cassie, still praying for all of you. Take heart in the fact that you have a home and you have the children. You have the eternal love of God, which can never be taken away from you. Nothing can separate you from it. When I received my news last year, I began to pray for healing. Then, I abruptly stopped and since then have asked only for strength. I have to seek God’s will, as it is perfect and my will is corrupt. I may have a relapse which will send me into eternity, but if that is the Lord’s will, I am called to be docile to it. This is tough for us to do! When you think you can’t go on, that you can’t take it one more day, know that His arms are right there, waiting for you. Our prayers surround you.

My dear friend…I think I will have this framed. You have given me insight for my own problems to seek out a Catholic Charities counselor with my own battles. I am so proud of you…You are an inspiration and one of God’s strongest Soldiers (though you may not realize it). God Bless You…You are ALWAYS in my prayers and you will make it through this…we suffer so many trials…but we can do it…God Bless You. Diane
