Dear Cassie,
You are in my prayers, and of course your family as well. I am in awe of your strength and perserverence. It appears you find your strength in God, which is as it should be. I know it is difficult putting your health and well-being first, I was brought up to see to the needs of others and minimize my own. I just found this thread today and have read your posts from its onset. You have come a long way with God’s help (and the prayers of fellow CAF members). I add my prayers to theirs. God bless you and yours.

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be Thy Name,
Thy Kingdom come ,
Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and
forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who
trespass against us,
lead us not into temptation, and
deliver us from evil. Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee
Blessed art Thou among women and
blessed is the fruit of Thy womb ,Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us now,
and at the hour of our death. Amen

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Thank you to all my friends here at CAF for your continued prayers.

I realize that I started this thread just a little over a year ago. At that time I did not know how I was going to make it through the day, I thought my life was coming apart, now here I am a year later and have found that I am closer to God than I was before this all happened. I am still in love with John very much, but I am not letting what he does control my life. I would like to spend the rest of my life with him, but he has to want that too, I cannot make him do it. We spent over an hour on the phone the other day discussing what would be different if we got back together. John is scared that things won’t work and that we will not even be friends anymore. I told him that I am willing to take that chance and love again, I have forgiven him, it’s forgiving myself that has taken some time. I know that God has been with me all this time and has lead me to this point in my life. I told John that I am not getting the feeling that we are through and he said he has felt the same way, but he has other issues that he feels that maybe he needs to work through before we can get back together. I am giving him his space and time. I feel that if God wants me to move on He will tell me. He’s given me signs that He’s with me and has protected me when I needed it. I know that non-believers would say that I should have packed up and just walked away a long time ago and that I am a fool for believing that John and I can get back together, but you my friends have offered prayers and words of encouragement for me, John and our family.

All of you continue to be in my prayers and I pray that God keeps you and your families safe. May God bless you all!

Cassie

Cassie, you have offered John your unconditional love, just as God offers it to us. Naturally, you have been hurt by all of this - just as our sin hurts God Himself. Your offer of unconditional love is just as attractive to John as God’s offer is to us. The Lord takes note of the love in your heart. May His will be done. My prayers are continuing for both you and John. Amen.

Dear Cassie,

You have offered your broken heart and suffering to God, and I have faith that with all of this God will draw out the greatest good for you. You are in my daily prayers. May God bless you and bring you happiness.
