Lord, inspire those men and women
who bear the titles “Husband” and “Wife”.
Help them to look to You
to themselves
to one another
to rediscover the fullness and mystery
they once felt in their union.
Let them be honest enough to ask:
"Where have we been together
and where are we going?
Let them be brave enough to question:
“How have we failed?”
Let each be foolhardy enough to say:
“For me, we come first”.
Help them, together
to reexamine their commitment
in the light of Your love,
willingly, openly, compassionately.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Oh Sweet sweet compasionate mother please help this family.

All of this I pray in Jesus chirsts name.

I will be happy to add you and your husbands to my prayers. I think that there is nothing that can’t be worked out through prayer.

Thank you RosaryLady, Turtleforce, Simon X, aldebaron2, wina, po18guy, and rebusrms for your continued thoughts and prayers.

My mother had her surgery yesterday, 3 1/2 hours, and everything went well. It looks like her recovery will be longer than 4 months, considering her age and health. There is some concern for staph infection because she has had problems earlier, but other than that things are looking good. Thank you for your prayers for her, they mean a lot.

John and I still talk everyday, but it’s basically about neutral things. He told me this morning that we will have to hash all of this out sometime. I know he has great concern for his job out there. They have shut down some of the jobs and are not starting new ones. He may be home sooner than he would like, but I think that it would be beneficial for the both of us if we could talk face to face. I continue to pray for help and for guidance. I still have faith and hope that this marriage can be healed. I still love John and I know he loves me but he does need to get help. I will continue to give John hope and support because I know he is struggling with his depression. I continue to pray for all intentions posted. May the Lord be with you!

praying for your mother, you and John

Cassie or Cheryl, I have been praying for your marriage in the other thread for troubled marriages not knowing the details until today when I found your thread here. You are an inspiration to us all who stuggle in our marriages. You have suffered so much and yet you have hung in there clinging on the Love of the Lord and His Support and Courage. You are an incredible person and a great example to us all of a great Faithful woman. Thank you.

I read most of all your responses in this thread and watched you grow and saw how you fall and raise again and change from being afraid to a strong person. I truly see how the Lord has worked in your life and I am certain that with all that you have prayed and suffered, He is and has worked in John’s life as well. I am so happy to hear that you are moving on, but not giving up.

I wanted to give you a prayer to say to release any evil spirits that may be influencing your husband. You do not address them directly, but ask the Father to do this. I will include it in the next post for it will be too long then in this one.

You will continue to be in my prayers and I will continue to pray for you, Cheryl, and your husband, John. I do understand the depression thing for my husband suffers from major depression and it is not easy. He does not have another woman in his life, but has many addictions that take up most of his time. I guess you can call those his relationships. It is a very difficult life living with someone with depression and one gets depressed also, as you well know.

Praying for you. Keep praying and doing what your have been doing. 👍

Here is the prayer:

I proclaim Jesus Christ, Lord of all the adventures, circumstances, and difficulties of today. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, with the intercessions of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, the Blessed Archangel Michael, Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul, my own Guardian Angel, and all the Saints and Angels of Heaven, and holy in the power of the name of Jesus Christ, by the power of His Blood, I renew my baptismal promises and do reject the works and pomps of Satan, and all his empty promises. I now ask you Father in heaven to bind the strongman and his minions and command them to leave me and my family! I seal this place, and all the members of my family, my relatives, and possessions, in the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Father, please bind and reject all familiar spirits, all companion spirits, and all carnal spirits, spirits of affliction, and all ministering spirits; bind and reject all spirits in the air, in the wind, in the fire, in the water, under the water, in the netherworld, in the elements and in all satanic forces of nature. In Your Holy Majesty Heavenly Father please bind and reject all spirits of confusion, all spirits of division, all spirits of disruption, and all spirits of fear, worry, and anxiety, all spirits of disbelief, spirits of unforgiveness, resentment, and anger, spirits of deaf and dumb, spirit of disobedience, spirit of games, spirit of control, and spirit of retaliation; please, by your Love and Justice, bind and reject all spirits and aspects and attributes of these spirits, all interlocking spirits, and prevent them from communicating with anyone or among themselves to conspire to attack Your children. Father in Heaven, I ask you to command these evil spirits to leave quietly and immediately go to the foot of the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I break and dissolve every curse, spell, hex, evil wishes, evil desires, and hereditary seals. Father in heaven, I ask You to come against all Satanic vows, Satanic pacts, Satanic sacrifices, voodoo practices, mind control, and Eastern religion practices. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, I break and dissolve all links with false prophets, false visionaries, false mystics, and with psychics, clairvoyance, astrologers, mediums, seers, satanic cults, fortune tellers, séances, Ouija Boards, Tarot Cards, and occult games of all kinds.
Come Holy Spirit and fill this place, corner to corner, ceiling to floor. Saint Michael, Saint Gabriel, Saint Raphael and all the Holy Archangels come and fight this battle for
me. I ask the help of all the Holy Angels, Holy Seraphim, Holy Cherubim, Holy Thrones, Holy Dominations, Holy Powers, Holy Virtues, Holy Principalities, and my Guardian
Angel - Be my shield of defense against all evil spirits. I ask this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ by the power of His Blood, in the authority given to me as a Christian.
Lord Jesus, I ask today for an in filling of the Holy Spirit. Fill all the empty spaces within me with your peace, your love, your healing, and your joy.
I also ask for an increase and release of the seven Gifts Your Spirit gives us all at baptism and confirmation so that we may live for You. Help me to appropriate and bring to fullness Your gifts of wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord I ask for an increase and release in my life of the Fruit of your Spirit that is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.
In being all that You want me to be Lord, I wish to fan into flame the specific charism gifts that You have given me to help build-up your Church. Help me to discover what gifts you have given me and to use these gifts cheerfully, for Your Glory and the benefit of Your Church, and to enjoy the abundant life You have promised.
Amen. Amen

Thank you wina, rebusrms and simon x for your continued prayers. Nana3, thank you for the prayer for releasing evil spirits from my husband, I will pray it along with my daily prayers.

I talked to John last night and he wants to proceed with a divorce. He says he still loves me and wants to continue to be friends but he doesn’t want to be responsible for anything. He says he has some major issues that he needs to work out and that he doesn’t want to hurt me anymore. I told him that I still love him but I cannot make him stay in this marriage if he doesn’t want to. We have agreed that if this proceeds that we will go through mediation so that it will minimize the hurt that we will both go through. I am still not convinced that this is what he wants and he admitted to me that he may regret this decision later on. I continue to pray for guidance and help. I went to our local Walmart today and just about broke down because I was looking at Christmas cards and saw the ones for “husband” and realized that this may be the last Christmas that John will be my husband, but I am not giving up, not yet and maybe not ever. I cried my tears at home and then continued to decorate for Christmas. I have a Nativity scene that I love very much that I put out and it brought me some peace. I continue to have faith and hope that this marriage can be healed. I pray that John will be able to come home for Christmas and that we can talk face to face. I draw much strength and hope from all of you at CAF and will continue to do so. I continue to pray for all intentions on here. May God Bless You!

Cassie

Cassie sweetie, God give you strength and wisdom!!!..If you haven’t already pray to Saint Rita to intercede for you and your marriage. She was a wife of a difficult marriage and a mother, so it makes it easier to relate to this saint.

“Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Wounds of our Lord Jesus Christ to heal those of our souls”
“My Jesus, pardon and mercy by the merits of Thy Holy Wounds”

my dear cassie,
Your strength and understanding still amazes. I understand that the path that John wants to follow is not the path you want to follow but as a sign of your true love you are willing to realize that he no longer wants to be in the marriage. I wish things could be different for you. I like the idea of going through mediation. I pray that it minimizes the hurt. As always I will pray for your well being and that your hearts desire would be realized.

Thank you Galilea, rebusrms and Simon X for your prayers.

My husband has not brought up the subject of divorce when he comes home but I have been thinking about it. I still am praying that this marriage can be healed and saved. We still love each other and care for each other. I called him this morning and left a message on his voice mail telling him good morning and that I love him ( something I try to do every morning). He called me back and thanked me for the care package that I sent out to him ( homemade cookies) and the pictures from our son’s wedding. He hasn’t been feeling good and isn’t getting enough sleep but he said he appreciated me calling him. He then asked if we were still friends and I said yes, that’s something that cannot be changed. I don’t think he’s convinced that getting a divorce is the best thing. He is struggling with so many feelings that I pray that God will be with him and help him. Please continue to pray for him for he truly is a good man. May the Lord be with you and thank you again my friends for your thoughts and prayers!

Cassie, you will emerge much stronger on the other side of this. Spiritual training camp is not always pleasant, but is always sent by the Lord, out of love, for our ultimate good. Stay strong in faith and we will keep praying.
