Thank you Tarek Chidiac, po18guy, simon x, and wina for your continued prayers. I will be starting my new job at the beginning of January. At first I felt a wave of relief and peace come over me but now I am questioning if it’s the right thing to do, I will be taking a paycut but I will not have to pay rent, utilities and such. I know that my first reaction is the right one it’s just that I am worried over money and things, but I am praying that this will pass because I know that the Lord guided me to this new job which was not advertised. I will continue to let the Lord guide me and to keep the faith. I know it’s the evil one that is putting doubts and fears in my mind, so I will keep praying to overcome them.

On a brighter note I had a pleasant conversation with my husband last night over the phone, we actually had a few laughs! I am still forever hopeful and have faith that this marriage can be repaired. I know that when I talk to him tonight he will be excited for me about this new job. He knows that I am not happy at my current one and that the stress was getting to me. I guess I will always be a country girl and feel the happiest when I am outside getting dirty. John also told me that with the company that I am going to work for going the extra mile and helping me get the licenses I need to operate the equipment that I will be a more flexible employee. I will also be within 10 miles of home instead of 130 miles.

I know I should feel very blessed that I have found a job that I will enjoy doing let alone find a job. I will continue to pray for those who are unemployed and who are looking. Also keeping those who are going through marriage difficulties in my prayers. God Bless!

Thank you wina, simon x and Tarek Chidiac for your continued prayers!

I got good news yesterday that my middle son and his new wife will be coming home for Christmas after all. They will be coming back with my husband and should be here late Sunday night or Monday morning. I did not expect anybody to be here until the week of Christmas so I am excited but nervous.

I am happy that my husband will be home sooner than expected but I am also scared and nervous. I thought I had control over my feelings about getting a divorce but last night I had a good cry again. Instead of looking at the positives I began looking at the what ifs. What if this is the last Christmas we spend together as a couple, what if he wants to meet with a mediator to proceed with a divorce, what if … I know this is the work of the evil one and I then turned to God and prayer. I still feel depressed this morning and did not sleep well last night, but I know that if John does not want to stay married I can’t make him. It’s just so hard but I continue to ask God to help me. I want a joyous Christmas with my family and I pray that I will. This Sunday is also the anniversary of John and I’s first date, 18 years ago. I know that I am not alone and that God is with me at all times. I have been praying to St. Rita and I know that having John and my son come home early is because of my prayers. I will take a more positive attitude and be thankful for everything that I have. I continue to have hope and faith that this marriage can be healed and saved. I will not give up. There is still much love between us and I pray that the Lord will work with the both of us and heal us.

After writing this I feel better. I hope that all of you know how much it means to me that you are praying for me, for John and for our marriage. Thank you also for your prayers to my mother, she is recovering well. May the Lord continued to bless all of you!

greetings…
Pleases remember that you are allowed to feel anyway you want to feel. Let the emotion flow from you, good or bad, joy or tears. It is important to feel and go through the process of the emotions, because by doing that you go through the process of accepting your situation whether it be dissolving the marriage or the process of rebuilding the marriage. The point I want to make is that Christ will be with through either of the situations. There is nothing weak about crying and allowing yourself to feel. A matter of fact it takes a great deal of strength to do it. Know that you are loved and there are a lot of us who care for you.

Hi Cassie,

Thanks for the post. Will continue to pray for you, John, and your Mother (Thank the Lord for her recovery).

Night time seems to bring up the worse possible scenarios that are minds can conjure up, Praying the light of day brings hope and peace. Take Care.

Praise the Lord that your mother is recover. and thanks for the update
Cassie, I agree with rebusrms that we can allow to feel anything what we feel and tell about it to God. I often tell what I feel in prayers. And it does comfort me.
Continue praying for you…

Cassie, focus solely on the Lord, as He knows your needs already, and He knows John’s heart. Allow your devotion to the Lord to cause God’s will to be done. Amen! Alleluia!

God Bless and help John in this difficult time. Lord, help him understand Cassie’s great Love for Him. Help him change his heart, and help him find Your love.
And Bless Cassie for being the brave Lady to offer everything to help her Husband find Happiness. Cassie, as You Lord, are True Love. Please bless Both. :blessyou: :gopray2:
Praying intently

Dear Cassie… We, me and my wife, continue to pray for you and for your husband John and yur mother. May our Lord hear our prayer.

Thank you Tarek Chidiac, Simon X, Sailka, nana3, ntronic, po18guy, wina and rebusrms for your continued prayers!

Things are getting worse for my husband and I. John came home yesterday along with our son and his wife. I was so happy to have them home. They will be here for two weeks for the Christmas holidays. John went into town and then met his dad for a few drinks. I had a nice supper put on the table when he got home and before I had a few bites John started in about that he really didn’t want to come home and it went downhill from there. He said alot of hurtful things to me which I won’t go into detail here. I have never felt so low in my life. All I have wanted is to have a nice Christmas with the family and to sort out our problems afterwards, but that isn’t going to happen. John said he will not be coming home until next Christmas because he hates the area where we live now. It went back and forth until I finally asked if he was still taking his antidepressants. He said he ran out and has not gotten a new prescription because they don’t work. I knew he had run out about a month ago because I detected a change in his attitude over the phone. To make things worse he is drinking again because he thinks that helps and his back is giving him a whole lot of problems.

I know I need to take care of myself, but how do you step back and watch someone you love spiral out of control downward? I am doing alot of praying for John because he needs help. I have told him that he needs to too. I am desperately asking for prayers for him because he doesn’t believe that he is worth loving and that no one cares. I still love him and want this marriage to work, but I can’t force him so I will have to let him go if that is what he wants. It hurts so much, but I am trusting in God that he will be with both of us. John apologized to me this morning and told me that he loves me, but doesn’t love me and I know that the other woman is still in the picture. John wants me to be happy and wants us to be friends. I want that too. I told him again that he needs to get help and stop running away from his problems, they will catch up with you and poison any relationship that he has including the one he is having with this other woman. He said that no one can help him, which I told him he was wrong. He then broke into tears, what am I to do?

I left for work this morning and will not be home until Thursday night, ( I too work on the road, but not for long). He promised that he will stay for the two weeks at the house. I pray that we can somehow work things out so we aren’t upsetting each other. I also pray that John will seek help, for I know him to be a good man with a good heart, he’s just so confused right now. I continue to have faith and hope that this marriage will heal even though we may be filing papers sometime during these two weeks. I know God has a plan for the both of us and that He doesn’t give us anything that we can’t handle, it’s just very difficult.

Thank you in advance for your prayers, especially for my husband, John. May God Bless All of You!

It is very great what you are doing, feeling and thinking about your husband. How deep is your faith Cassie! I’m sure that god is not leaving you.

Dear Cassie, I prayed for you at Mass during the elevation of the Precious Blood, and will continue to pray for a Christmas miracle for your family.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, let Your love and goodness stream forth into Cassie and John’s marriage. Please fill John’s heart with the sure knowledge of Your love and forgiveness, that he may forgive himself and return to You and to his loving wife. Through the acceptance of Your love and mercy, may this marriage be healed.

:signofcross:

Father, please open this man’s heart and eyes
when he returns home to his wife.
Allow nothing but “love” for her to flow
through his mind.
Help this couple to heal what is broken in
their marriage.
AMEN
AMEN
I am praying for you both…Diane

Thank you Diane, Morwenna, rebusrms and Tarek Chidiac for your prayers.

I have officially given my resignation at my job and feel a little better about what I am doing. Everyone was very supportive and sad to see me go. I also informed my co-workers about my possible divorce with John ( I still have hope that we can work this out) They are very supportive of this too which helps.

I have been looking for a divorce support group in my area because I know I am not the only one going through this. I just wish it wasn’t so hard. I had a good cry this morning and continue to pray for John and our marriage. I also am praying for all of those that are in similar situations, may the Lord be with you.

Please continue to keep John in your prayers, he is struggling so much right now. Thank you.
