Loving God,

We lift up Cassie and John today and ask for your blessings and your divine love to be showered on them. Please protect John and keep him safe as he continues his journey of faith and listens to your call. Please continue to give Cassie strength and courage and bless her prayers and intentions as you bless the prayers of all your persistent people. We often do not understand why you share the trials and sufferings with us in life, but help Cassie and John to respond to your call and your plan for them and give them the gifts of a strong faith and steadfast hope in You.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever.

Amen.

Praying for the two of you, since you remain one flesh, made so before the Lord.

Heavenly Father, may Your healing Grace be upon John, restoring his vision of the love which has always existed in his marriage. Graciously lead him away from the temptations of this world and back to the purity of love that he possessed when he entered into the Sacrament of marriage. Out of love, bless him with medical care which will restore his thoughts and actions to those which seek to strengthen and maintain the family which he has started, along with cassie89. May love prevail over all worldly concerns. We ask this through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Your only Son, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen! Alleluia!
Amen, indeed! I continue to pray for you and for John, Cassie, as well as for your mother and your son in Afghanistan.
No doubt the Holy Spirit is working in John…you have reason to hope. You are an inspiring woman!

Thank you all my friends for your continued prayers! I continue to keep all of you in mine!

John and I have not talked since Tuesday. We are giving each other some time to think. I had a therapy session and my therapist suggested that I really try and concentrate on myself and not on what John is doing and what he is thinking, I cannot control that. She told me to let go and let God. Some of you know that this is easy to say but hard to do. I did talk to John Tuesday night and he asked me what was wrong. I told him how I obsess about what he is doing and with whom. I also told him that I still love him very much and care for him very much and I want him to be happy. He then told me he would call me on Sunday, he needed time to sort through all he’s feeling. He thinks he is past the point of taking me back, that we have hurt each other too much, but he says he loves me very much. I am taking this time to pray more than I have been. I don’t want our relationship to be strained, whether we are together or not. I know the Lord is watching and in time the purpose for this will be revealed. I did ask John to get some help because he should not suffer so. I continue to believe that we can work this out with the Lord’s help. I am also praying for our whole family, there is much going on and it is during our difficult times that I am thankful for everything and everyone.

All of you are in my prayers daily. You have are such wonderful people and I feel truly blessed to know all of you. The sun is shining here and the sky is blue, what a great day to be alive! May God bless all of you, my brothers and sisters in Christ!

I continue to pray for you and for John, Cassie, as well as for your mother and your son

I am so happy to hear you are trying to look at the brighter side of things. I understand you completely!!! Have been there. What helped me is to listen to Relevant Radio via web. I listen morning…during work…and at bedtime. You realize you are not alone and the Lord is there for everyone who seeks him.

Cassie, God is proud. You are carrying your cross with all your strenght!

Hugs and kisses to you my friend!!

Tune in…it is awsome.

Cassie, thank you so much for your prayer, I need them. Please listen to your therapist and work on yourself more than John. I know how bad that sounds but it is imperative for you. Like the therapist said you can not control what John does or does not do. Of course you are still going to think about him and care for him but focus more on yourself right now no matter how hard it is do that. Remember that you are loved by all here and you and John are in our prayers.

Cass…listen to the therapist…I went back to 2008 when you first started posting. I read each post of yours…May I suggest that you print them out (paste each one to Word or WP) and take them to your therapist meeting next. It may give your therapist a little more insight as to your struggles over the past (nearly) year. Focus on yourself. Continue with every ounce of your being to focus on YOU rather than all the what ifs’ with John…Continue to love and pray for him…but just place yourself first. Remember how it is ina plane ride. If the oxygen mask falls, put it on yourself first and THEN on others. in a way, this is the same thing…you have to take care of yourself before othersl. Keeping you in prayer. and praying for John’s mental/medical state…Love you dear friend, Diane

Cassie, God has led me to share this with yoiu and I know it will hurt. As a young man I was married in the church, it ended after 3 years in divorce, I hurt bad even though I knew it was the right thing to do from a marriage point. even though I was not catholic at the time I filed foor an anulment the church granted it and later I was led to my wife God has ways. my first wife was self centered selfish, lacked faith and wasnt that nice a person, I loved her but did not like her. My wife now is not only the most beautiful woman in the world but has faith in God is a wonderful catholic, the greatest mother children could have and does for others before herself, as some one posted, I am a lucky man and God knows better than I and chose much better. Believe he will not allow something to happen tha was ul;timately not for your good. It hurts now I know it hurt me, but I believe it if is not with your husband with someone God has chosen. Use this time for making a better you, I will keep praying for you. love and comfort

Heavenly Father

Please continue to watch over and bless Cassie. Grant her great faith, steadfast hope and true love. Give her the grace she needs in this time. Bless all her efforts to draw nearer to you. Grant her peace and joy that comes from knowing you.

Amen

I continue to pray for you and Steve, and remembered you at a beautiful Taizé-inspired Sunday Mass yesterday. You’re doing so well already…let go and let God.
May God be with you and Steve always!! 🙂

Thank you all my dear friends for your prayers! You have been with me through this whole ordeal and I know that your prayers and words of encouragement have helped me deal with this, I continue to pray for all of you!

I do not obsess as much anymore over what John is doing and have felt more at peace. I found that I had an easier time forgiving John than myself. I finally have forgiven myself for things that I have done and not done. I have also asked for John’s forgiveness, which he has given me and he has asked for my forgiveness, which I have given him. I feel like we have reached a new level in our relationship, one that we haven’t been to before. John never talked about God alot, but that has changed. Our family has and is going through a lot right now with our oldest being in Afghanistan and our middle son and his wife going through some problems and of course John and I having our own issues, I have found comfort in reading the Bible, spending time in prayer and just spending time alone without any TV, radio or noise from the outer world. I know that I am changing and I am letting God guide me through this change, He has never let me down.

I pray that God be with all of you during this Lenten season. God Bless!
