Dearest Jesus, who wept at the death of your friend
and taught that they who mourn shall be comforted,
grant Linda Marie and all the family the comfort of your presence in their loss.
Send Your Holy Spirit to direct them
that they may be confident of their son David in eternal life.
Amen.

Father of mercies and God of all consolation, You pursue us with untiring love and dispel the shadow of death with the bright dawn of light.

Comfort Your family in their loss and sorrow. Be our refuge and our strength, O Lord, and lift us from the depths of grief into the peace and light of Your Presence.

Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, by dying has destroyed our death, and by rising, restored our life. Enable us therefore to press on toward him, so that, after our earthly course is run, He may reunite us with those we love, when every tear will be wiped away. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Into Your hands, O Lord, we humbly entrust (DAVID). In this life, You embraced him with Your tender love; deliver him now from every evil and bid him enter eternal rest.

The old order has passed away because You gave us Your only Son as our Redeemer. Through the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, welcome him into paradise, where there will be no sorrow, no weeping nor pain, but the fullness of peace and joy with Your Son and the Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen.

Rest in the peace of God’s loving arms David.
Continued prayers for this grieving family. I am so sorry Linda Marie. :hug1:

Holy Mother, please intercede for us.
Hold the sorrowful, strengthen the fearful,
give aid to all needing help or healing,
assist those who are sick, in pain or suffering,
be with those needing peace, console the lonely,
comfort the lost or hopeless, guard the unborn,
pray for those who are dying or who have died,
soften those with hardened hearts,
enlighten those who do not yet see truth,
help us be brave enough to let our hurt and anger go,
show us the way to do the right thing,
protect those who are in danger, and guide us from every evil;
may all who keep your sacred commemoration
experience the might of your assistance.
Amen.

Dear Linda Marie, I have not visited this thread in quite a while, so I am just learning about your son’s passing. I am so sincerely sorry for your loss. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family.

O God, the Creator and Redeemer of all the faithful, grant to the soul of Thy departed servant David the full remission of all his sins, that through our pious supplications he may obtain that pardon which he has always desired, Thou Who livest and reignest world without end. Amen.

V. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.
R. And let perpetual light shine upon him.
V. May the Divine Assistance remain always with us.
R. And may the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Amen.

Memorare
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother. To thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

Linda, I will definitely keep your son and your family in my prayers. Remember that it is in the most difficult, confusing situations that the Lord chooses to bring the most grace and growth in faith. May God give you all peace and healing!

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us,** that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself**.
