He has an interview in a couple of hours with a Princeton alumnus. We are digging the car out of the snow now. I pray it goes well.

Thank you.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is
the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.Holy Mary, Mother
of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour
of our death. Amen.

PATER NOSTER,
qui es in caelis,
sanctificetur nomen tuum.
Adveniat regnum tuum.
Fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra.
Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie,
et dimitte nobis debita nostra
sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris.
Et ne nos inducas in tentationem,
sed libera nos a malo. Amen.

My son just received a call from the alumnus. He postponed as his car is still buried in snow. He was only going to go to the office to meet my son since we are in the middle of a snow storm. They re-scheduled the interview for Monday. Mama mia!

Thank you James OPL and ProVobis and all who are praying but have not posted. Please keep him in your prayers. We will finally learn what university he will be attending on the 1st of March that’s when they will all notify the applicants.

God bless,

Abba

May God’s will be done in your son’s life with no obstacles to His holy will. May your son be filled with the Holy Spirit at his interview and do well. May your son remain patient and calm until his interview on Monday. May God bless your son abundanlty ,and let him get accepted to the best university for his salvation. Amen.

Of course! May God pour out the Holy Spirit upon your son, and may you, he, and the interviewer be truly open to His direction. Saint Therese of Liseux, Saint Michael, Our Lady of Perpetual Help and Seat of Wisdom, pray for us!

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

You all almost made me cry. Thank you so very much for your prayers and compassion and your time and your ability to tune in to other people’s preoccupations. I am very grateful for your prayers.

May the Lord bless you all abundantly,

Abba

Thank you all for your prayers. The interview went well. 🙂 The alumnus is the president of a great American company with top security. The alumnus only went to the office to meet with my son as it was Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and the company was closed for the holiday. I drove my son to the interview and planned to wait in the parking lot. It turns out, the man came out to meet my son and noticed that he did not drive in by himself. They shook hands and started walking to the car. Oh, my goodness! He walked to the car to meet me and I got out and shook his hands and introduced myself. He was being a gentleman about not wanting me to sit in the car and wait for them. He offered to take my son home after the interview.

I don’t think that it was a negative for him to meet me - at least I hope not, but, us parents do need to stand aside in these situations. I try for the person not to meet me and plan to meet my son at a certain place after the interview. A couple of weeks ago, he was interviewed by Brown and I just dropped my son off at Starbucks and went grocery shopping at a store nearby where my son and I planned to meet when he finished. This way he is independent and I am just the chauffer.

But, It did not work out like that this time. Oh, my goodness! :blush:He also got to see where we live, which is not the fanciest place in town - but, it is our home. I think he may have taken advantage of the situation to meet the parent and see how we live. I think he got more information and it was good. Btw, leaning by his desk were two m4s like broom sticks. If anyone ever broke through security and thought the president was a sitting duck they would be in for a surprise. They had a nice and interesting conversation. He told my son that he appreciated him dressing for the occassion and that someone else he interviewed had not dressed properly for the occasion. I think it was a good interview.

Next week he has an interview with Cornell which will be conducted by an alumnus who is a medical doctor. He has not been invited for an interview by Harvard, Yale or Columbia. It’s always a good opportunity to be invited to be interviewed, but, we just have to wait.🤷 We have to wait all the way to March 1rst to find out where he will be going. One excellent thing about Columbia is that they offer a full scholarship with not personal debt. We wait. May God’s will be done.

Thank you all so very, very, much for your prayers and support. It can get a bit stressful.
Please continue to keep my son in your prayers, it’s not over until it’s over.

Now, I have to get going with the financial aid applications  Those packages sound like serious projects (e.g. FAFSA, ICC or CCS, incomr tax reports etc…). Madonna Mama Mia!

I probably shouldn’t be writing all this stuff in the internet. 🤷

Peace,

Abba

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Okay, Harvard called. I wish there was a smiley pulling a foot out of it’s mouth. 😃

Oh, my goodness. What happened it’s a bit incredible. Keep praying please.I checked my phone to see what calls I missed and the name of a top law firm shows up. Now, mind you, the other interviewers sent emails - so - I was not expecting a call ( I also thought the interviewing possibilities were over). I see an attractive top name and I wondered what they could possibly want with me or from me. To spare you the details, the man did not want to tell me his name nor the division he worked in and I just wanted to know who I missed a call from. I even called him 'Darling…" at one point 😃 But, not meaning it nicely more like annoyed 😃 and I said thank you for your time and hung up. 😃 Then, I listened to my messages :bigyikes: and there it was, a Harvard alumnus wanting to schedule an interview with my son. 😊 Fortunately, my number shows up private. My son is going to call the alumnus on monday to set up an interview. I told my son what happened and he said that it was fine for me to be annoyed afterall the man wasn’t volunteering any information and you just wanted to know who you missed a call from. Well, I hope it all works out.

Thank you for your prayers and support. I still have not started the financial aid paper work. In all fairness to myself, although my number is private, I get a lot of calls from companies either trying to sell me some product of service (or collection agencies) it get’s tiring and annoying.

Holy Father, please be with Abba’s son during his upcoming interview. Give him assurance as he answers questions. Give him fluidity with his words. Open the hearts and minds of the interview team, that they might be open to his work and not discriminate based on nationality, faith, gender, or age.

Open them to all of the ways that Abba’s son might diversify the team and enrich the community. Wash him in Your peace in this time–remind him to take a deep breath, to know he is Your child, and that he is equipped for this opportunity.

These things I pray in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ.

Amen.

Praying for your intentions….

Lord Jesus, You have said,
“Learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart.”
With confidence in Your loving heart
which offers rest to weary souls,
we come to You in this time of special need.
In Your unfailing love,
read the prayer that is written on our hearts,
and grant the grace that we ask of You,
in accordance with Your holy will.
In Your name we pray.
Amen.

Thank you Kilo1Mile21:angel1: , Spoken4, 244Rocket :angel1: , Holly3278 :angel1: , reindeer :angel1: , Joy Therese :angel1: , ready :angel1: and all those who have prayed for my son. I am truly grateful for your prayers. The Harvard interview was scheduled for this afternoon and now the battery and alternator have to be replaced. I am thinking of sending him on a taxi. It’s pretty far away. He has a cell phone so he can call a taxi to return. It’s freezing out. I just had the car towed to the mechanic and had to wait four hours for him to show up. People’s car are having battery and alternator problems due to the cold weather and taxis are on demand. I should probably call a taxi now and hopefully get one in an hour and half. I may accompany him and find a place to wait, like at a nearby mall. The Cornell interview is still scheduled for next Friday. Thank you for your support and your continued prayers.

Please also pray that I get going with the financial packages.

God bless,

Abba :highprayer:
