Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal Melodeonist. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Melodeonist’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

I just got some Tums, and they helped quite a bit. The pain has stopped hurting as much after taking them. This makes me happy. 😃 The pain is still there a bit, however. If the pain is still there by next week, I will go to the doctor.

Thank you for your prayers.

Dear God, thank you for helping my stomach. I am very grateful for you guiding me to getting Tums. Amen.

I was wondering, can we thank Saints for praying for us?

Hi Melodeonist,

Yes, we certainly can thank saints for praying for us. I am glad that you are feeling better.

I was praying for you, although I didn’t write it down here, on your thread.

God bless you. 🙂

The pain is still there, but I think it could be related to my doing 90 (non stop) curls, and bench presses the other day (I hope I don’t have a hernia). Oddly, the Tums seemed to help initially.

Dear God, please help my stomach. I think I may have hurt myself lifting weights. Amen.

What did the Doctor say?
I wound up not going to the doctor yesterday. I figured that if I still have the pain by next Monday, I will go to the doctor. However, I might go today, since my mother seems to be both worried that I have a hernia, but she also thinks it may something minor.🤷

My stomach feels a bit better today. It still hurts a bit when I walk, but I need to think about the pain to feel it when relaxed. 😃

Ave Maria, gratia plena, Dominus tecum.
Benedicta tu in mulieribus, et benedictus fructus ventris tui, Jesus.
Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatoribus,
nunc et in hora mortis nostrae. Amen.

Prayer to St. Luke:

Most charming and saintly Physician, you were animated by the heavenly Spirit of love. In faithfully detailing the humanity of Jesus, you also showed His divinity and His genuine compassion for all human beings. Inspire our physicians with your professionalism and with the divine compassion for their patients. Enable them to cure the ills of both body and spirit that afflict so many in our day.

Amen.

Thank you all for your prayers! My stomach now barely hurts, if it hurts at all (I can’t tell if it hurts at all). 😃 I am very thankful!

Dear God, thank you for helping my stomach get better. Also, thank you for all these kind people, who took their time to pray for me. I am very grateful for these things. Amen.

I think you should go to the Doctor. A simple X-ray will disclose any gall bladder problems. My Mom experienced the same symptoms. She had excruciating pains several times over a period of a year. She had been having gall bladder attacks. An x-ray disclosed gall stones, but by then she had waited too long.

If the pain comes back, I will go to the doctor. The pain I had wasn’t exactly excruciating, more of an annoying pain, similar to gas pain. Except gas pain does not stay there for four days. It hurt when I moved.

I have been taking Tums after breakfast for three (or two, I can’t remember :o) days, and I wonder if they are what got rid of the pain. Another theory I have is that taking a break from exercising made the pain go away.

I had x-rays and my gallstones did not show up. Of course, x-ray technology has changed considerably since I had it. It has probably improved.

When I had an ultrasound though, my gallstones did show up. At the time, ultrasound was just as simple or even simpler than x-rays. I don’t know how they would compare now; probably it’s still more or less a toss-up.

I had an x-ray not to long ago for a foot problem. Again, even though the foot problem was excruciating, the x-rays disclosed nothing. I did not have an ultrasound, so I can’t compare.

When the situation is appropriate for it, I think ultrasound can be quite sensitive and revealing. Of course, it’s up to doctors to suggest one or the other, not patients or CAF posters, but I would venture to suggest that a person who really thinks something is going on and gets a negative result from one or the other of x-rays and ultrasound ought to suggest to his or her doctor that they give the other technology a shot. Most doctors seem open to such suggestions, and anyway, it doesn’t hurt to ask. Often, simply asking is enough to tip the doctor in favor of giving the other technology a shot.
