Victoria is now in the hospital receiving antibiotics. She has also received a round of steroids that will help develop baby’s lungs in the absense of amniotic fluid. She is 24 weeks now and baby weighs 1.4 lbs.! We are hopeful that my daughter will hold for at least another 4 -8 weeks. We are still waiting to get the results from genetic tests. Thank you all so much for your continued prayers. They mean so much to us.

Ive been keeping both in my daily prayers. God bless you both for the strength and faith you have. Im sure God will reward you for your love and care for baby Liam and your daughter, no matter how hard the doctors tried to discourage you and wanted to abort Liam. ❤️:grouphug::byzsoc::highprayer:

Update: Victoria is 25 weeks today. Her geneticist called to tell her that blood test showed baby does not have Trisomy 13, 18, or 21. There must have been a mistake! The same mistake the last time they told her the baby was probably Down Syndrome, or the several times she was told there was a neural tube defect (Spinabifida, etc) or that there was a defect in the umbilical cord, all of which have been ruled out multiple times.

It was like they were trying to find reasons to convince my daughter to terminate. I know there are plenty of doctors that are “pro-choice” but it has been eye opening to see the degree of pressure they all (at least 9 OBGYNs and Perinatal specialists, along with numerous nurses and midwives) have put on her to terminate and their seeming inability to understand the ethical consequences.

But now that she is 25 weeks the pressure has ended. I believe he is legally protected now. My daughter hates being in the hospital, but we are hoping for another 4 weeks.

Prayer for Mothers

Good and Gentle God, we pray in gratitude for our mothers and for all the women of theory who have joined with you in the wonder of bringing forth new life. You who became human through a woman, grant to all mothers the courage they need to face the uncertain future that life with children always brings.
Give them the strength to live and to be loved in return, not perfectly, but humanly.
Give them the faithful support of husband, family and friends as they care for the physical and spiritual growth of their children.
Give them joy and delight in their children to sustain them through the trials of motherhood.
Most of all, give them the wisdom to turn to you for help when they need it most.
