UPDATE:

My grandson passed away this afternoon. We will be forever grateful that God graced us with 32 weeks with this angel, 11 days of which were following his birth.

I am so very, very sorry for your loss. Your daughter is a courageous woman- may God bless her abundantly and heal your family’s grief.

To You, O Lord, we humbly entrust this child, so precious in Your sight. Take him into Your arms and welcome him into paradise, where there will be no sorrow, no weeping nor pain, but the fullness of peace and joy with Your Son and the Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen.

Please accept my condolences for the loss of Baby Liam. Tears swelled up in my eyes when I read your update this morning.

I wish nothing but the Father’s peace on you, Victoria and all of your family.
You and your daughter will be forever blessed for having held on to his dear life. I am sure and positive he is in the prescence of the almighty God and Father. You are so blessed for having given him a name, and having getting to know him, even for so little a time.

I pray almighty God and Father, for Baby Liam, although I am sure he is in Your Prescence, please bring him into your light, grace and eternal happiness.

Mary, our mother, please guard for Baby Liam, reassure Victoria and all his family, that you will care for him in Heaven.

I am sorry…I wish I could have prayed more, and have my prayers be more deserving.

There were so many prayers for my daughter and grandson…from across the US and several continents…it gave me great comfort to imagine all those prayers floating up to heaven. All of our prayers are deserving and God always answers our prayers. It’s just that sometimes we don’t get the answer we want and sometimes we’re just not listening.
I know that you did pray for him and I am grateful to you and all the other prayer warriors. I like to think that with all those prayers God knew he was just too beautiful to leave on this earth.

There is so much more to the story of my daughter and grandson that I was unable to post in these threads, but know that in his short life he changed hearts and minds and taught people about the value of life, and has given hope to those that were told there was no hope.

Thank you so much for continuing to remember my grandson in your prayers. We did not get much support, not even from people in my parish. I sensed that the attitude was that my daughter was foolish and should have known it wouldn’t end well.

When my grandson was born I said he had some slight deformaties. I was incorrect. A minor issue with his hands was simply due to positioning in the womb and by the end of the day had resolved. The fact was he had absolutely nothing wrong with him. All of the doctors and staff were amazed. He died of an intestinal infection that developed after his birth and was not related to the fact that he was a pProm baby.

There was a girl that scheduled appointments at the clinic my daughter went to early on. My daughter saw several midwives there who encouraged her to abort. The clinic was associated with the hospital and it’s 5 OBGYNs who tried to get her to abort by telling her all of the horror stories. This girl periodically called my daughter for updates after my daughter transferred care to a hospital in another city and seemed to be genuinely concerned.

Recently my daughter took a friend to an appointment at that clinic. The scheduling girl saw her and took her in the back and on the bullitan board in the employee lounge was a picture of my grandson. She said she had gone to each of the doctors and told them that my grandson had been born healthy with no issues and assured my daughter they all understood his death was brought on by factors not related to my daughter’s condition. I’d like to believe that will remember my grandson the next time they see a woman with my daughter’s condition.

This thread is so old it is unlikely many will read this, but to those who do, thank you for letting me tell a part of the story, and thank you again for your prayers.

Thank you so much for posting an update on your Daughter Victoria.
Please know that I continue to pray for you and Victoria. I am sure that our Father in Heaven will bestow multiple blessings on your family for not giving up on Baby Liam’s life.
I am sure he is in Heaven in the presence of our Lord Jesus, and in the care or our Mother Mary.
