For these intentions

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.
Amen.

Lord, please intervene and help this good person get the job she so earnestly desires. Amen.

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and Blessed is the Fruit of Thy Womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.
Amen.

I stopped by before work, called during a break, and stopped in at lunch. I was told that the lawyer is at lunch and is going over the resumes now and I will be getting a call.

Please pray that I will have patience and my nerves can handle the wait. Please pray that I do get a call (which, she may be late, but, she’s good like that, I know I will), and please pray, once again, that I DO impress her and have what she needs and am the MOST qualified/gifted/matched personality for this job.
Hi Ad…

Saying a quick prayer for you and your intentions…Peace and may God be with you, (hope you get the job).

Haven’t got a call yet.

Today, I went to interview at the Muskogee Municiple Building for a Operator/Receptionist job for the police department. It was a pre-screening interview. If my references check (mostly personal), my papers will go to the police station and I will have an interview there.

This job will be for a City and will give me 1.7% more than I am earning now, benefits, and 40 hours a week. It will mostly be an afternoon job, too.

…I wouldn’t mind having it…

My biggest fear now is one of two things, 1) I get offered both jobs, 2) I don’t get offered either.

Please keep praying, only now that I get ONE job or the other as either would be welcome and something that I think I’d be GREAT at and able to help my employer/serve the public according to my gifts.

Hmmmm…I don’t think I got the Legal Secretary/Legal Assistant job…

Please, pray that I get that job with the City of Muskogee. …The hours would work better for me with this one.

Anyway, here’s what’s happening at my current job:

I think my boss admitted she is going to short change me.

She says that odd numbers confuse her. What she means by this is that she wants people to leave for lunch either on the hour or the half hour, not quarter past or quarter after, not ten past, ect. Even though, it’s typically an hour, either way. She doesn’t want/doesn’t like it when, somebody leaves for lunch at 1245 and comes back at 1345.

Anyway, the other front desk girl said, even though she stayed later, she’s going to clock out at 1230. My boss said that was good because if one puts, hour . 25 (i.e., quarter of an hour past) or, “4:10”, she’s confused and that person isn’t going to get that time.

I’ve done such a thing.

As you know, that adds up.

Who’d have thought that somebody paying less than minimum wage (but tells her customers when anybody quits on her, as well as those of us who work for her: Money isn’t everything) would also not may money one DOES earn?

So, what does this mean? What is better than me working for a lawyer? Why a lawyer working for me. IF I get this Muskogee job (please pray), I will hire a lawyer and see what can be done about this.

Dear Lord, I ask your intervention. Please intervene in adstrinity’s life and get her the perfect job. I ask you to help her obtain the job working for the city of Muskogee, if such a position is suitable for her. I ask that you don’t let her remain unemployed for too long and that you keep her strong and filled with your Holy Spirit to endure this trial of unemployment with all hope and knowledge that you will never fail her. Though you try us to exercise us you give us consolations. Give adstrinity the consolation of warm family and friends to keep her morale up, and keep her confident that in your time all will end well. I ask this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Let me again ask everybody for their prayers, still, because of a few things:
  1. I got a letter from my boss today saying that anytime the till is short, it’s coming out of my paycheck (she and I are in the drawer). We have been short the past two days (and a few times in the past), which has brought this on, I guess.
  2. I am meeting with that lawyer I didn’t get the job with tomorrow, to see if this is legal, and if I have any recourse.
  3. I still may have a shot with the City of Muskogee Police Department. They called up my former boss on Thursday and she gave me a glowing review. I tried calling the number I had for the assistant HR person, who interviewed me, but, nobody picked up at all today when I called.
  4. I picked up an application for an Answering Service down here. They are not hiring now, but, I know I’d be good at it.
Still, please…pray for me…that I get a job where I am appreciated and my talents can be used to help. I really don’t care about the job I have anymore AT ALL, and I don’t much respect my boss(es).

I pray every day in front of the Blessed Sacrament for you. Please don’t worry too much… God will get you a job in his time. Hopefully, you’ll get the job with the police dept., if that is a good job for you. Peace!

I just called the City of Muskogee to ask what was happening. The woman on the other end said they all were wondering the same thing concerning the Receptionist/Operator position. They sent things to the Police Department and they don’t know what is happening with it. They said that the PD would probably start interviewing before they knew (the woman I talked to and her building, I guess). PLEASE keep praying I get this job…that I get this career. I know I would be good at it, I know I could do it, and I grow to hate my job more and more each day. If nothing else, please pray for me for patience and for charity. I don’t look at my boss with respect any more and I’m pretty sure she views me in the same way.

…Also, for the first time, I am paying to get my taxes done. I fax in papers this morning. Pray that I don’t owe the gov’t more than I can pay (if I have to pay at all…)

Thank you all for your continued prayers. I pray that God blesses you all.

Please continue to pray…

I just called the Muskogee PD and was told that I need to speak with Lt. Johnson, and if he’s not there, to leave a message on his voicemail. I was also told by the woman who picked up that the position had not been filled. (Though, I didn’t ask if they were beginning to call people back or anything.)

I left a message on the voicemail asking about the situation and for a call back.

Please continue to pray.
