This morning I got up, said two Rosaries (I wanted to eat meat today), called a little before noon and…left a message. Lt. has yet to get back to me.
In the meantime, before I left my job today, my boss asked if I wanted this job. I told her no. She asked me if I was looking for other work, I said yes. I don’t respect her, but, I’m not so arrogant as to insult her intelligence.
She told me to pray over what to do over the weekend (after I had asked her what time am I coming in tomorrow), then later, she asked me what time I’m coming in tomorrow. I told her to call up the other woman (as I rather like staying up late…but, I didn’t tell her that part.)
She asked me what I wanted to do. I told her I want to stay on part time but as she can find somebody better for the job. She told me when she hired me, she knew I could do the job, but, I quickly developed an attitude.
She told me that I would correct her and do things my way and she reminded me, this isn’t her shop, but, The Lord’s shop, and He put her as overseer, and I was acting like, ~I’M~ overseer. She also took issue with me correcting her. I would only tell her what I knew and what she had told me before (I told her today that she changes her mind often, and she made a face and said, “Not really…” …Yes, she does). I have not corrected her on a whole bunch of things.
I don’t think she understood how disorganized everything really was, and she had no idea how things were, especially in the computer.
I got my paycheck today. She took money out for my nametag, which she said she was going to do, (keep in mind, she wanted everybody to have one) as well as some other things, one of which I told her to go ahead and do.
I asked God for humility, but, I don’t think I’m ready to live as an aesthetic. I need more than minimum wage…or, at the very least, minimum wage, and I would like respect. I know that’s not very Christ like, but, I can accept what comes to me and not go looking for it.
So, that’s what happened today. I would still like everybody’s prayers, offer up intentions at Mass (thank you again, ready, for spoiling me like that), et al. Please, please, please, please, please, please ask for what is best for me, patience, and that I get this job yet again.
I just don’t have the ability to be happy at the current job, and that’s not fair to those there.
Please keep praying, thank you all for your prayers, and God bless you all for your prayers.
