Polish court fines archdiocesan magazine for criticizing pro-abortion advocate

A Polish court has fined an archdiocesan magazine $11,000 for using “particularly contemptuous” language in describing pro-abortion advocate Alicja Tysiac.

“We live in a world where a mother receives an award for very much wanting to kill her child, but not being allowed to do so,” wrote Father Marek Gancarczyk, editor of the Katowice archdiocesan magazine. Evoking Auschwitz, he continued, “They had become accustomed to the murders being carried out behind the fence of the camp. And what is the case today? Different, but just as terrible.”

The court also ordered the editor to apologize to Tysiac. The magazine has vowed to appeal the ruling.

Hello my Polish friend

This is so sad… Poland has held out for so long but now these sort of things are trickling in I wonder what the response to this will be?

I can’t help but wonder if Poland hadn’t joined the E.U. then these sorts of yuppy political correctness things wouldn’t be happening.

When it comes to abortion, one is allowed to disapprove; just disapprove very mildly, to avoid being fined.

I rather imagine Christ might have been fined for calling some pharisees a “bunch of snakes” to their face.
