Some people may be genuinely in mid-stream of thought to freshen their own understanding of existing teaching and while being aware of what they are saying it’s best not to prematurely assume they are exactly “questioning” something, simply “asking about” it. Whilst a few are grandstanding, the rest probably just plain “wanna know”.
It’s a rare networking opportunity for them and privacy is of great value to frankness, as well as openness.
Maybe the Poles are over-reacting to Sovietry.
In any case all us billions of people can’t understand the Pope when he speaks formally in public so why should we think one Pole can understand hundreds of strangers doing what they are doing and are meant to be doing?
