How many political calls have you received this year asking for your vote or for you to get out and vote?
Didn’t help us. But I think we put our phone number down in our voter registration, so it is our own fault.Having an unlisted pohone number sure helps!
Easily over 30. I never pick up the phone, letting the answering machine screen the calls. Some hang up when they hear the overly cute message, others just plow on at the sound of the beepHow many political calls have you received this year asking for your vote or for you to get out and vote?
Good one!I got a great one yesterday. The first line of the recording was “Andrea Stewart has always been pro-choice”. Needless to say, I won’t vote for Stewart.
I understand that nowadays you can have a cup of coffee with Bill for less than his usual rate of $25K per cup. I think that’s wonderful … good for the common man.Bill Clinton called me four or five times. I kept trying to explain to Bill that we are not friends but he just would not listen to me.
Must be nice–all the ones I’ve received have been recorded messages. Can’t argue with them. Before the primary here, I was fielding four to five a day. It’s dropped down to about two a day, but I can’t wait for tomorrow to be over!I am retired.
I have time on my hands and don’t have to be any place special.
So, when the political calls come in, I engage them in conversation. You all know me from my posts. So I entertain, impress and amaze the callers with the breadth and depth of my knowledge.
I weave in George Bush’s piloting experience, the software problems of the type of interceptor he flew, the lack of understanding displayed by the Republican Party of George Bush’s military service and accomplishments, the relationship between George Bush and Wilson/Plame/Niger uranium and the CIA/KGB volley ball game I attended in Niamey… and etc.
And they are too polite to hang up.
