A new poll confirms that business mogul Donald Trump leads among moderate and liberal Republicans. However, evangelist Franklin Graham’s recent remarks show that conservative supporters might not be far behind.

An April 15-20 Gallup poll, released Monday, shows that the GOP momentum for Trump is rising. Trump is tied with former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee for the top spot as the preferred Republican nominee for president. Trump holds the highest percentage of support – 21 percent – among moderate and liberal Republicans than any other ring-wing contender.

Different polls have different frontrunners.

The real test will be how long he can maintain the popularity.

I predict that he’s going to ride the wave until just before it becomes imprudent to do so, at which point he’ll use his popularity to endorse another candidate. Trump may not be perfect, but he is very savvy about image.

Some of the things he has said…not the Birther issue, but things about job creation and the economy are dead on…but he is not a serious candidate.

Agreed. I predict this will happen shortly before the first primary.

I just like Trump for the simple fact that he is not a career politician.

I like Trump because he isn’t a wussy. I like that he set the ‘Terms of Debate’ and look forward to him mopping the debate floor with Obama.

Trump: ‘Jump’

Obama: ‘Jooooooooordan!!!’ swooosh

All net baby.

I have a hard time believing that this man will release his tax returns, which he would have to do in order to run.

Sorry, I don’t believe this.

I can’t understand why conservatives are buying that Trump is one of them. He has advocated center to left of center policies for years and he has supported mostly Democrats in the past. Now he suddenly claims to be an arch-conservative. Not buying it.

Trump’s debate style is the exact wrong direction in my opinion. I don’t want to see anyone shoving their opponent around the stage like a bully, Trump isn’t trying to spread information or make strong points he just wants to make himself look good and his opponent look bad. Anti-intellectualism at its finest.

What he can be is a strong defender and advocate of American Exceptionalism and leave the legislative agenda to Congress where it belongs. The only thing I care about is what type of judges this man would consider nominating. I have no doubt that he will make very capable cabinet appointments. Hey, maybe he can even have a new reality show call…wait for it…

The Secretary (aka the Apprentice) 😃

I like your post for the simple quote about the government. LOL:thumbsup:
I was going to say this too! Haha

Honestly, the more I hear from trump the more I like him. He asks the tough questions and doesn’t back down. He tough, and we need tough right now. No. This namby-Pamby wishy washy crud we’ve been getting out of the white house for the last two years. We need a solid leader who understands how money REALLY works, is a strong leader, and can stand by his decisions. I think trump can be that. But I think he is also too easy of a target for the left that will no doubt start their horrendous mudslinging to trash him for his past. Honestly I’d love to see Palin in office. Trump is quickly becoming my runner up.

No conservatives I have come in contact with are buying it.

You gotta earn your stripes if you want to be taken seriously by me. Especially since he helped fund Rahman Emanuel’s campaign and is buddy buddy with his brother. On top of regurgitating liberal nonsense not that long ago.

Wearing his developer hat, Trump doesn’t mind getting his govt. buddies to use eminent domain to secure land for his projects. People often confuse businessmen for free-marketers. Trump reminds me of the Perot craze - his supporters are saying the same kinds of things.

Obama: blah blah blah

Trump: Mr President, I’ve been all over the country. And it doesn’t matter where I go, they all tell me to tell you the same thing: for the handling of the economy, for making America a laughing stock, for expanding abortion in the face of every poll that shows that Americans want to decrease them, for stopping drilling causing gas to go over $4 per gallon, dramatic pause

You’re FIYUD

The election race would be over:D

I’m hearing a lot of people say they like the way he talks, even some independents, but they all say they wouldn’t vote for him.

It’d be fun to see Trump and Obama debating each other. “Excuse me, Mr. President! Excuse me! You don’t know how to create jobs. I’m willing to bet you. I have created more jobs than your entire presidency.”

You mean like the ones he created in China? You know, where his Donald J. Trump signature collection of clothes is made?
