Poll: How do you feel about the U.N.?

The U.N. is opposed to every thing that is Catholic.

The next world war may very well be waged between the United Nations and the Catholic Church. With the Catholic Church, of course, being victorious.

A useless boondoggle and corruption-magnet. It really isn’t the United Nations at all, but the United governments, many of whom have an utter contempt for their own people. Never has there been a more centralized institution for “realpolitick” corruption and base graft on a global scale. And every once in a while, they pause from their pointless festivities to condemn the US and Israel (not necessarily in that order).

Ah, the political advances of the 20th Century. May God bury them all.

last report i saw we we behind over 2 years behind on what we owe… now if that has changed i stand corrected and am ok with that… if that has not changed,… we should pay what we owe and not be concerned with the integrity of others when we are deficient ourselves…

…we only give creedence to the UN when it suits our policy… that has been our history of late… when the UN gets in the way of what we want, it’s a different entity altogether… then we don’t want to acknowledge them at all… we can’t have it both ways…

First of all, the United States is far from the only nation that’s behind. Secondly, what we “owe” includes money for things like “family planning” projects in the Third World – and we don’t have any obligation to finance abortion, no matter what the UN says. Third, much of the money withheld is contingent on reforms – which are not forthcoming.

We pay way too much. Relocate the UN building to the Israeli-Jordanian border. Do not send them security forces. Let them negotiate their own safety.

In good faith, yes. In reality, in it’s present form, it needs to change, to live up to better standards.
