Poll: How do you pray the rosary everyday?

I went from the border of Syria in the north to the border of Egypt in the south. I went to all the places we pray in the Rosary. I was there before JPII gave us the Luminous mysteries. My wife and I renewed our vows in the Church at Cana. Went to 5:15 a.m. mass in the tomb of the Holy Sepulchre, walked the stations of the cross in Old Jerusalem. The list is too much for one post.

I hope you get to go.

Well, he is shown in photographs with a rosary twined in his fingers, but talking to someone at the same time. I find it difficult to call that saying the rosary if he didn’t give his attention to it (or alternatively, he didn’t pay attention to the person who was talking to him).

We’re not talking about the average person. He could also read souls.

Why would it not be sufficient? A person’s prayer rule is very personal and may or may not include the rosary.

Cross of Jesus w/ OUR Mother’s prayers!!
 
I find that praying ONE Our Father and THREE Hail Marys to
be an effective tool for combat spiritually the everyday situ’s
we encounter, this could be done as you do OTHER things
w/o losing your concentration on conversations/work/pre-
occupations!!
 
I prayed it in my car on my way to community service this morning.

It’s a lot more soothing when you’re not blasting Southern Rock on your phone (my old car has radio problems). I should start using the rosary cd I got from my parish.
 
I try to pray 5 decades everyday. I work part time and my kids are home all day from school for the summer so my rosary is in my purse lonely.
I need to come up with a better plan to get my uninterrupted rosary prayers in. I miss them.
So many ppl say, just have your kids join in. It’s my solitude time to check out and be with God. 😇:pray:t2:

I wouldn’t assume he is praying the Rosary simultaneously with conversation. I doubt any of us here can second guess a great saint.
 
Last week Dr Ray Guarendi on EWTn radio (The Doctor is In) made a remark that he estimates he has said only two rosaries in his life without distraction.

I am frequently distracted. I pray along with a recording of the Rosary made by Fr John Riccardo, EWTN Radio priest. I get distracted by his lengthy introductions to each decade. I have to focus my thought on listening to him, in the recording. It’s too easy for me for wander off.

There are also rosary recordings on youtube – I like the ones without background music, as a rule
 
I always try to day at least 5 decades everyday. Often if I have the time, usually on weekends, I will say all 20 decades.
 
I work on it, really, but I rarely finish a complete 5 decades of rosary prayers, it’s my work in progress for the summer.

He has been filmed with the beads passing through his fingers, IIRC.

I am not second-guessing a great saint, but questioning the claim (which seems to increase each time it is repeated) that Padre Pio said so many rosaries a day so we should aim for a great number.

Saying many rosaries does not a great saint make, necessarily. He would not have been canonised because he said dozens of rosaries a day, but because he showed exceptional holiness.

I found a beautiful video of all the mysteries of the Rosary on YouTube, downloaded them and say the appropriate one each day. They are absolutely the best version that I’ve found online as they focus my attention. If you watch this one you will see why I say it is beautiful.
