, a non-partisan research firm, conducted a poll of 914 people registered voters in the state of Florida, who are likely to vote in the Senate and Presidential races. Of the 914 who were polled, 49 percent were likely to vote for President Obama in the upcoming Presidential election. Governor Mitt Romney is not far behind, with 48.4 percent reporting that they would vote for him

It’s a mistake to think based on recent polling in Ohio that the race there is over. Obama is not popular in the state, with 48% of voters approving of him to 49% who disapprove. Among voters who remain undecided there just 13% think he’s doing a good job to 65% who give him poor marks. That doesn’t mean those folks will move to Romney en masse because they don’t particularly like him either (a 26/37 favorability rating) but it does mean there’s potential for the race there to get within tossup range over the final five weeks

Well, my work’s answering machine was polled over the weekend and it is apparently voting for Obama. I didn’t listen to see if it was very likely or just somewhat likely. 😃

Shall we agree to ignore the polls? Between large margins of error and the purported oversampling of Democrats, I’m not sure what to believe.

No, because according to a UCLA study, over 85% of the media leans left. That includes almost every magazine and newspaper.

Fox News does very well for a cable network, but it still has yet to crack the ceiling for broadcast network news ratings, though Bill O’Reilly gets close sometimes.

Fox News is not a conservative media outlet. They go out of their way to accomodate all points of view, short of extreme terrorists, and as Alan Colmes had said:

"Liberals and democrats cannot refuse invitations to appear on FOX and then complain about it not being fair and balanced. "

As far as the radio goes, well, that’s more along the lines of the free market ever since the unjust Fairness doctrine was scrapped. Liberals have tried to create their own Rush Limbaugh, but most people who listen to the radio listen to local sports or music stations more consistently and the rest of the media is saturated with left-wing bias.

There just isn’t a market for it.

Right-wing radio is so successful is because media outlets all over the place lean left and self-described conservatives and center-right moderates far outnumber liberals.
