Yes, that is correct.
No. That is not the definition of the word.Polygenism means having many parents with immortal souls
First, I’m not a scientist. If one wants an answer to a scientific question, ask a scientist. Are you saying that Ed Fesers theory is an example of polygenism? Do you believe in polygenism?
…the faithful cannot embrace that opinion which maintains that either after Adam there existed on this earth true men who did not take their origin through natural generation from him as from the first parent of all, or that Adam represents a certain number of first parents. Now it is in no way apparent how such an opinion can be reconciled with that which the sources of revealed truth and the documents of the Teaching Authority of the Church propose with regard to original sin, which proceeds from a sin actually committed by an individual Adam and which, through generation, is passed on to all and is in everyone as his own.
You are getting too caught-up in the word polygenism. From what I’ve read of Fr. David over a period of time, his advice is sound, but I was thrown off by Edwest211.
I am saying what I wrote in my post. But are you saying that Ed Feser’s theory is an example of Polygenism?
Not exactly. And that’s by intent. I haven’t read Feser’s theory in his own words.@FrDavid96 has told you @Hope1960 about 5 times now that Fesers theory does not constitute polygenism.
I’m not sure how many more times or how many more ways he can explain himself to make this any clearer to you.
