The Declaration is a nice, but irrelevant document.

An attitude that screams out for the protection of the right to keep and bear arms.
Which rights? To carry weapons of mass destruction? This is the crux of the problem, which is avoided by your side.
That issue is already spoken about. A weapon of mass destruction is not a firearm.
But according to one representative, it is okay to use them on Americans who exercise their rights.
I am not for the 2nd amendment, so it is not my job to keep it AND also eliminate gun related deaths. The problem is yours, not mine.
Then you are for authoritarian government.
  1. Means a police state.
  2. Irrelevant.
  3. More guns will increase violence.
  4. That is a good approach.
  5. So is this.
So you had two useful propositions. Not a bad start.
  1. No, it isn’t.
  2. No, it isn’t.
  3. No, they won’t
  4. Good
  5. Good
That’s actually 5.

How about eliminating the gun shows? Eliminating the gun transfer possibilities.
Why? Gun shows are not the problem.
Eliminating the gun transfer possibilities.
Do you want to take away private property rights , too?
Making gun ownership like car ownership?
Why? The overwhleming majority of legally owned firearms do not cause a problem.
Besides, cars are not identified as an enumerated right.
Making gun carry licenses renewable every “x” years?
the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Why do you think this type of law would stop lawbreakers?
And driving is MUCH more important than carrying guns. Registering all guns, like cars? Do you have anything against this kind of approach?
Registration is precisely like confiscation, only earlier.

You continue to target the law abiding.

And by doing so, they’ve done their child and society a great service.
Definitely. Now the child can protect him/herself from those bad guys that want to murder little kids at school. I hope they show up to school fully armed and prepared every day.
They’ve learned how to do so, properly, safely, instead of being lied to about firearms by the progressive education establishment.
And of course, as you know, a ten year isn’t allowed to carry guns at all, much less at school, without parent supervision. A common sense gun law.

How is a ten year old supposed to protect him/herself against a bad guy at school if they cannot carry arms? That’s not common sense at all.

I guess, I will have to stop wasting time on you.

I’ll leave that to teachers.

Her parents should buy her kevlar body armor, because properly the firefight should be between armed teachers and lunatics wanting to kill children. The pink handled rifle is just for practice so she can take on bad guys in crowded places when she comes of age.

When I was taught to fire a gun, it was a serious business. If they’d made cute guns when I was a kid, I would have wanted one that looked like the ones Storm Troopers in Star Wars had. That way I could have had a gun that could shoot and look really cool at the same time. I have a feeling my grandfather wouldn’t have approved, though.

To take any a child’s God-given rights?
There appears to be some misunderstanding about how minors’ rights are treated in this country, under the constitution. I suggest some research.
The very fact that they are compelled to attend school should be a hint for you.

Well, bullet proof backpacks are a thing this year, but, really, without a weapon, the child is just a sitting duck. So she needs to be armed.

I see no reason why a governmental power has the ability to take away God given rights. Heck, you said yourself when you said
the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed
There are no exceptions to that in the Constitution.

Yes. You’re right I did. But then, I was speaking with common sense.
Yes, you were. And I just extended your logic. There’s no reason why a governmental official working in a school can take away fundamental rights.
Maybe should should find a lawyer to take the case
I’m sure the NRA will take care of that for me.

Actually, you only extended your own. When I taught , I required children to be quiet. I violation of free speech. 😲
They were actually required to come to school, and I gave homework! 😲😲
I’m sure the NRA will take care of that for me.
I doubt it. The NRA supports that type of common sense firearms restrictions. And I agree with them.
I also think 10 year olds should not be allowed to vote.

Obviously, you are biased because you acted as a governmental official denying children their God given rights.

It might be that the NRA can’t afford it at the moment given all the clothes and luxury items Wayne LePierre spends NRA funds on. But once we clear him out, the NRA will get back to its mission of ensuring God given rights.

NRA Says New Florida Law Would Take Away Rifles From '10-Year-Old Little Girls' on Their Birthdays

Can you imagine!? They cannot shoot their rifles on their 10th birthday? What will become of this world!!?
While I’m no gun fanatic, I learned to shoot a .22 when I was 7. My younger brother and I used to go hunting with Dad at least once per hunting season. I’ve never shot anything but cans. The one time brother had a rabbit in his sights he waited long enough for the rabbit to leave much to my dad’s disgust as he’d been looking forward to a stew. Brother’s reasoning, “That rabbit hasn’t done anything to me, why would I shoot it?”

That is a matter of interpretation.
Eliminating the gun transfer possibilities.
Do you want to take away private property rights , too?
One can do one and not the other.
Making gun ownership like car ownership?
Why? The overwhleming majority of legally owned firearms do not cause a problem.
Neither do the overwhelming majority of cars cause a problem.
Besides, cars are not identified as an enumerated right.
Nor is totally unrestricted use of guns an enumerated right. The courts have allowed many regulations.
