It’s probably OK because the school system is receiving “rent” money…There is one of these up the street at the Public School.
the thing I can’t figure out is how they can have Church in a Public School Building on sunday, when the Kids aren’t allowed to pray there during the week?

Also, it is my understanding that as long as schools are considered community property (i.e. local school board) they are free to open their doors to any community activity, so long as the protections are there for separation of religion and school.

One of our bigger non-denoms started that way, in an old movie theatre. Then they bought a bunch of warehouses & converted those. The church has a very industrial feel to it obviously.

Every June they have a Poker Run, & my dh told me someone he knows that attends this church said that this year the group Bad Company will be playing at the church during the Poker Run! I don’t believe it myself but who knows~

My unstated point is that many Protestants are really lost. They don’t know where to go. This is very dangerous for the entire body of Christ. Folks are making up their own stuff because they are like lost sheep. I’ve been there and know what’s happening. I’ve been Catholic since I was baptized at 14 months old. jumping over teen converstion I ended up much later and many events joining the Army. It’s easy to get lost. If you leave the Church you will most certainly be and feel lost. You may not admit it, but I believe it’s true. We forget where we’ve been. I often wonder how that affects culpabiliity.
