I’m sorry…but I have no sympathy. How many times does the pope need to apologize? The answer will always be: at least once more. The things that have happened cannot be put right — ever. They can only be prevented from happening again and the guilty brought swiftly to justice both religious and secular. And, I’m not impressed by the efforts to make those things happen in too many cases. — Until those responsible are pulled out of their holes like the vermin they are there will always be a need to apologize.
Let’s not pretend this is a Catholic problem. What has your “church” done to root out its probem, my guess is very little compared to the Catholic Church.
