I stand behind the of the Pope 100% percent (and those of my Patriarch as well) but I personally would not go far as to say the Archbishop needs “counseling.”
What the Pope needs to do is to sit down with the Archbishop and remind him about the authority of the Chair of Peter.

The British media often missinterpret what Catholics say and use every opportunity to make it seem that the Pope has no support of his bishops. I wouldn’t condemn the Archbishop yet. He is loyal although he should be more open about it.
