Yes, consistent, especially in those things that are not up for debate or discussion. Kind of like how the various Eastern Catholic Churches are consistent in the core Faith, but the expression of that Faith in the liturgies and other customs varies widely.

Like I said I knew nothing about him. Just looks Chinese to me. Didn’t know he was Filipino

For those that don’t know, his mother was of Chinese decent (don’t know if she was full Chinese, but she definitely had Chinese blood) so this isn’t entirely inaccurate.

I don’t really like these articles guessing and speculating who the next Pope will be.

Many recent articles about this appointment have “speculated” that Pope Francis is “positioning” Tagle as next pope.

As far as “diversity,” yes we are diverse. But assuming that only Asians can evangelize Asians, and so on, is not true. I don’t have a problem where anybody comes from, as long as they are faithful to Scripture and Tradition.
