The more I have learnt of Pope Francis, the more I admire him. His humility and compassion is truly inspirational and proof that he has been sent by God. In time, I think he will be considered one of the greatest popes of the church

I must admit that, at first, I did not know what to think of Pope Francis when he was elected because I knew so little of him. But the more I have learnt of his Holiness, the more I have come to like and admire him. His humility and compassion is truly inspirational and proof of a deeply held faith in God. In time, I think he will be considered one of the greatest popes of the church.

Does anyone remember seeing statutes of other popes anywhere while they were still alive? I don’t remember seeing any for John Paul II or Benedict XVI.

This statue of John Paul II was erected in 1980 in Kraków, Poland. There is also another statue at the Martyrs’ Shrine, a church in the Canadian province of Ontario, which was carved in 1984.
