Pope Benedict links dominance of ‘homosexual marriage…abortion’ to spiritual power of ‘Anti-Christ’

The article cites Fulton Sheen connecting the anti Christs activity with promoting prosperity and plenty among other things. It’s a leap to use his words to put LGBT as the illusive hand of anti Christ when Fulton Sheen was a well known enemy of the activities of freemasonrys elitist and prosperity ambitions. Fulton Sheen would have more to say about those making their fortunes from religion I would imagine.

Venerable Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen in a 1947 radio sermon described the Anti-Christ as a “Great Humanitarian” who will “talk peace, prosperity and plenty.”

“The anti-Christ will not be so called, otherwise he would have no followers. He will wear no red tights, nor vomit sulphur, nor carry a spear nor wave an arrowed tail as Mephistopheles in Faust,” stated Sheen.

“Our Lord tells us that He will be so much like Himself, that he would deceive even the elect – and certainly no devil we have ever seen in picture books could deceive even the elect.

He will come disguised as the Great Humanitarian; he will talk peace, prosperity, and plenty, not as means to lead us to God, but as ends in themselves. He will write books on the new idea of God to suit the way people live…

In the midst of all his seeming love for humanity and his glib talk of freedom and equality, he will have one great secret which he will tell to no one; he will not believe in God. And because his religion will be brotherhood without the fatherhood of God, he will deceive even the elect.

I also agree with the good bishop.
 
I sense this pandemic pause in Mass attendance and receiving Holy Communion can be a treacherous time. We should all be especially watchful.

Pray for our very many elderly priests and bishops as they decide whether or not to put themselves at risk for the sake of the flock. We should not judge them for their decisions…only pray for them.
