Vatican City, Apr 30, 2012 / 11:43 am (CNA/EWTN News).- Pope Benedict XVI says that forgiveness is the key to creating harmony between peoples and nations.
“Forgiveness is not a denial of wrong-doing, but a participation in the healing and transforming love of God which reconciles and restores,” Pope Benedict said April 30.

I fully agree with Pope Benedict XVI. Forgiveness is definitely the key to creating harmony between peoples and nations. We should forgive our enemies and try to work with them to bring about peaceful means to end what we might see as dangers. For example, with North Korea, we should forgive them for anything they have done wrong against them and we seek diplomatic means of solving our differences. The same goes with Iran. We should forgive them of their wrongs against us and seek diplomatic means of solving our differences. I really don’t think that international relations work too well when you consider other nations to be your “enemy”.
