John, I just want to say for the benefit of all the readers here, that you are a gift to this forum, by virtue of your continual reminders to us to refer to the fixed rudder of Catholic teaching. It is so easy, even for those of us quite well catechized, to slip into the relativistic contemporary mindset of which the Pope speaks. This mindset drives the entire Western culture, at the very least. Relativism dominates Popular Media; the omnipresent, controlling news organizations; legislatures  (not limited to the U.S. Congress, but legislative bodies of all kinds in the developed world), and in a frightening way – education. Social pressures for a phony “acceptance” and “tolerance” of every conceivable behavior & lifestyle reinforce this warped view of personal behavior and its broad consequences.

All the while, The Evil One is whispering in our ears, do what’s comfortable, do what feels good, all is fine, you are the determiner of the morality of your own actions, and nothing is objectively bad.

Why, thank you Elizabeth502.

You are too kind.
