Pope Benedict XVI says Church must stand firm against ‘intolerant agnosticism’

Pope Benedict XVI urged Roman Catholic leaders on Sunday to stand up to attacks by “intolerant agnosticism” prevalent in many countries.

The message during the Pope’s celebration of Epiphany is the latest in a series of remarks largely seen to be rebukes to David Cameron and other world leaders attempting to introduce same-sex marriage.

Under increasing attack because of outspoken opposition to homosexual marriage, the 85-year-old pontiff said that church leaders must resist efforts to change just to suit public pressure.

“Today’s regnant agnosticism has its own dogmas and is extremely intolerant regarding anything that would question it and the criteria it employs,” the Pope said before a gathering of 10,000, which included outgoing prime minister, Mario Monti, who has avoided expressing an opinion on gay marriage.

The Pope is right. I’ve noticed that whenever the Agnostics come under question, they suddenly become very intolerant and sometimes angry.

…so they preach tolerance but don’t practice it… They have clearly created their own dogmas staged behind the notion of “peace”, and they’re willing go to war over it.

LOL!! Exactly like the far left. They preach “liberalism” but are really far from it. Leads me to believe that the far left and agosticism go hand in hand eh?

The agnostics i have met seem to be fairminded. The secular humanists not so much.
