VATICAN CITY (RNS) Pope Benedict XVI warned that a forthcoming newEnglish translation of the Catholic Mass could provoke “confusion orbewilderment” among worshipers if not “introduced with due sensitivity.”
People in the Catholic church should be used to change by now although sensitivity does not hurt.
We need to support and try to be flexible to change. This is how we grow and how the church grows. I don’t think things will change that drastically all at once that is not how the Church or God works for growth IMHO.
The same people who are resisting this change saying it will disrupt the faithful had no problem with the liturgical revolution after the Council. This is a step in the right direction. Thank God for Pope Benedict.
I can see what people mean about some parts being “clunky,” though; I’m not sure how to picture “dewfall” and the Holy Spirit - what’s dewfall exactly?
