Pope celebrates priestly celibacy in Holy Thursday homily

No surprise for me, people and the media are being silly, Pope Francis is as traditional as the next but says it differently, go out in sheep’s clothing but as clever as a fox is how I would describe him, love him, and Pope Benedict of course.
 
A very uplifting message for those unmarried priests who have been called to this discipline within the Western and Eastern Rites.
 
Please excuse the horrible grammar on my first post, I wasn’t paying attention. Of course Pope Francis isn’t “surprising” us, but those who think he’s the revolutionary who will kick out all the Catholic tradition in favour of “progressive” ideas.
 
The Pope praising priestly celibacy doesn’t mean he would be opposed to lifting mandated celibacy and allowing married me to become priest.

Even if married men were to be allowed into the priesthood, celibacy would be the preferred state of a man, and would probably be mandated to become a Bishop as in the Eastern Orthodox Church.
