Pope Francis delivered a really skillful speech to Congress. Yes, he challenged America, making both Republicans and Democrats a little uncomfortable at times; but he did it in a conciliatory, pastoral tone with a focus on healing and unity for the common good of the nation and all mankind. He thus revealed his leadership ability as well as his humble and spiritual quality. We need presidential candidates more like Pope Francis.
