I guess that is what I would expect this Pope to say considering his personal history, being a fan of Hitler
I would seem that at an age of 77 you would have more wisdom and refrain from using such despicable posts. You anti-Catholicism and ignorance of the facts really show up on that post. Don’t forget to update your profile from “forever Baptist” to “Forever Ignorant by choice”

this is not the first time this guy has put his foot in his mouth, its not even the second, Don,t forget that I was around during WW2. Those teenager that belonged to those Nazi youth organizition where there by choice. They all loved Hitler

So let’s attack the man, instead of reaching out in love. Shame on you, perhaps.
For what? I did not attack allischalmers. I did not call him any name. Just pointed out his claim was baseless and what he said was shameful. If he would have said the what Pope B16 said was not true then I would not have agreed but not offended by it.

I have a stupid question:o Does B16 mean Benedict the 16th:o I think Im right but when I hear B16 I think of bombers-planes war blah blah blah.
I suppose this would be an easy abbreviation for the Pope’s name.😃

Yes B16 = Pope Benedict the 16th

Absolutely not true, membership in the Hitler Youth was compulsory.

Well, my dear departed sister in law who grow up in Germany and was a teenager during WW2 at one time told me otherwise.
It was the law of the land in Nazi Germany that membership in the HJ was mandatory, even if the parents didn’t want their children to join. Nobody had a choice in this.

StacieAdy,
I tried to PM you but it is not allowed. This has got me a little bothered. Where in my post did I attack allischalmers?

Stephen,

I apologize to you. You didn’t attack him. I reacted a bit defensively. I have been trying to keep the peace on another thread, and have been attacked in various ways, so I was a little peeved to see another “tiff” going on over here. I do apologize, and I hope you will forgive me? I never meant to upset you.

If Catholics did not believe the Catholic Church was the right one–why be Catholic?

Hi
I agree with you that Catholics are Catholics as they understand that they pssess full truth. If they wouldn’t have believed that they would not have remained Catholic anymore. This is true for every faith/denomination/religions even for agnostics. I have never heard of any person who would say that his religions is false, unless he is under process of conversion. It is for this reason that I say that while remaining steadfast on one’s faith, one should be humble enough to keep a window or door open for yet more truth that could come from any direction, hitherto unknown to one. It is also necessary that one should be doing constant comparision of one’s faith with others to see if one posses the full truth or just a portion of it.Unless tested one cannot be sure of the stregth.
Thanks

Because of his righteousness, Jesus’ prayers were heard, and he was saved from killing on Cross.
Hebrews 5:7 (NIV)
7During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.

Hey,
Stephen is one of the more easy going catholics here–among others. It is hard to know who is who until you have been here long enough to see how they post.😃

A newbie slammed me once and a few people(catholic I might add) chimed in and explained who I was and they just didnt know me yet.👍

So Im returning the favor:D
