Stephen is one of the more easy going catholics here–among others. It is hard to know who is who until you have been here long enough to see how they post.
A newbie slammed me once and a few people(catholic I might add) chimed in and explained who I was and they just didnt know me yet.

hugs I do sincerely apologize to you. (There was definitely a need for me to.) I spent some time yesterday defending why I feel I am saved, despite not being Catholic, and I came here this morning expecting more of the same. Sorry, it is a wrong notion. It does not match with Jonah. Jonah was saved from death when he came out from the belly of fish, he was not saved from death - “but only after he had actually died”.
If Jesus showed Sign of Jonah, then he should have saved death when he came out from the tomb he was laid in; otherwise he did not show Sign of Jonah as promised by him. I am with Jesus, so I cannot believe otherwise, sory. Please don’t mind.

You seem to be talking about someone named “Jesus”, but not the person Christians refer to. St. Paul the Apostle spooke this of him in 1 Cor 15:
[16] For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised.
[17] If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins.
[18] Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.
[19] If for this life only we have hoped in Christ, we are of all men most to be pitied.
[20] But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep.
Now you can’t be raised from the dead if you didn’t die.
The death of Christ is not a conjecture that Christians concocted out of their heads. It’s an historic fact, attested to. It is the denial that is conjecture.

No, I’m not talking about OSAS. I asked you if you believe in purgatory and you said yes. If you are a true believer in Christ, you must believe you are baptized into His death and raised with Him. That means no purgatory.
