I have no idea what you mean by pope Francis council or whether there is any truth in this. I do know that he has not been pontiff for a year and cannot control all previous contracts or agreements that may still be in effect. He cannot go backward in time and un-sell a car or un-write a lease agreement.

I tried a search on this accusation and found zilch, btw. This veiled hint of hypocrisy is inappropriate, especially if it is mostly gossip.

The details about wages are true. But the salaries aren’t really a secret and they are usual in Germany since they are based on these of employees in a similar position in public services (which are still lower than in the broader economy.).

You are right. There is too much hypocrisy in this discussion.
